Ate at Hooked last night for my Mums 92nd birthday. The staff were friendly and attentive. Very nice calming decor. Spotless white tablecloths and serviettes, not a mark on anything.... I do like cleanliness! The food was...well...superb. The fish and chips special had the crispier lightest batter I've ever tasted. My dish, red mullet with sweet potato chips, black pudding, chorizo, tarragon, was a revelation. Wasn't sure how those flavours would work together but it was gorgeous. The sweets were also lovely and tasty.
