Visited twice, first time had a very nice ham sandwich, which was pricey, but had huge quantities of ham on it. The coffee and scone were also very good. Second time just had coffee and cake, which was rather dry, I did not finish it. The service was efficient, but not really very friendly. What surprised me was that the food on offer was rather limited for such a large set up.

Good location with four courtyard tables sheltered, with a view across the golf course towards the sea. That's the good part. Apart from that very average.
3.30 - pushed to place order because they are stopping taking orders for food. Why? You don't close until 5? Kitchen closes at half three. But you only cook soup, baked potatoes and warm pannini's?! High season?! Lots more people turn up and are refused food!
Food arrives. Roast beef and Yorkshire Blue Cheese poppy seed roll. Thin, pale, tasteless beef with that little rind of fat round the outside that is difficult to remove. Blue cheese still with the crust on. Garish - some water cress and a pile of corn chips. Corn chips? Without dip? Like chewing sawdust. Well that's my opinion. Cake display - just a small piece of chocolate cake left.
Overall it's okay but the food is minimum standard and lacks flavour. Everything run for convenience of proprieters. For the same price (5.95 for sandwich) there is better choice and quality on the high street behind.

We were looking for a cup of tea one afternoon in Alnmouth having been disappointed at Alnwick Castle. We stumbled on the Dandelion and enjoyed a lovely cup of tea in the courtyard. The prices were a little high but it is part of a hotel and backs onto the golf course.

on a recent short visit to Alnmouth we stumbled upon the Dandelion. We just had coffee, which was nice except served in handleless cups.

Indoor and Outdoor seating with a view of the Coast. We had a spot of Lunch here and a good cappuccino is served. They have home made ice cream and cakes. Bake Pot with beans and cheese is just what you need after a nice long walk. They do cater for Coeliac and gluten customers so shouldn't have a problem here.
