Just back from a two night stay at this wonderful inn. Simon and Helen and all the staff we met made us feel so welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were beautiful, fabulous views over the countryside. Delicious food and drink in the bar or dining room made our stay very relaxing. Hope we get a chance to go back sometime.

Stayed at the Fauconberg for two nights and what a fantastic break we had. The hosts are really nice and nothing is too much trouble they really made us feel welcome. The locals are also very friendly, and also make you feel welcome. On our arrival we had a lovely welcome of cake and cheese and a pot of tea by a roaring fire. The food here is absolutely delicious and plentiful, if you like desserts, try the "Fauconberg mess " it is amazing. Our room was also lovely, very warm and cosy. The surrounding countryside is absolutely stunning, if only we could live there! We will definitely come back and stay here again and would thoroughly recommend staying at the Fauconberg.

Stayed two nights at the Fantastic Fauconberg back in October for our wedding... What a great decision that was. This place is an absolute gem, and I couldn't rate it more highly.
From the second I walked through the door, I was treated to some of the finest customer service I have known... literally being made to feel like one of the family. I had my whole family over on the Friday night, and every one of them commented on the pub and how nice it was (tough crowd to please too).

The food is top drawer, and the breakfast is like something from a gourmet cooking book!!

Needless to say, it won't be our last visit..

Alex and all the team - thanks so much!

Richard

We booked at The Fauconberg for an Autumn break of 4 days, having been encouraged by feedback on this site and in The Good Pub Guide. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for hosts Simon & Helen, and in addition to showing a daily presence (rare these days) they also have a "can do" attitude (even rarer!)

The accommodation, food & real ales were absolutely excellent, and it is no wonder that this establishment is popular with both locals & guests alike. When we return to North Yorkshire, we will certainly stay there again. Fantastic customer service.

Stayed on a Group on deal so wasn't expecting anything special. We were bowled over from the moment we arrived. Friendly welcome, room was lovely with plenty of character. We ate in the bar that evening and had one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Breakfast the next day was also hearty. I cannot praise the owner and all staff highly enough. We were made to feel really at home by everyone. We jokingly said we would take their dog Bramble on our walk the following day - the owner said please do and we had a great days walk. Pity we didn't follow the dog all the time as she knew the way better than us!
An excellent experience. Thank you - we will be back.

My wife and I selected this location since Coxwold is relatively central location for day trips to both the moors and the dales. We had a large ensuite room for 3 days which was very comfortable. We also note that the food is excellent, and the staff provides excellent service, and good practical advice on places to visit and roads to use. The facilities are well maintained: there was plenty of hot water, all the plumbing worked, there was good heating, and the bed was comfortable. The owner was actively present, and has assembled a hard-working, friendly staff.

I've never felt compelled to write a review on trip advisor before, until I stayed at The Fauconberg Arms! We stayed here the night of our wedding, with the grooms party staying the night before as well and we couldn't have been happier with how attentive, accommodating and friendly all of the team were. We loved the rooms, the food and the hospitality at the bar! 25 of our wedding party ate Sunday lunch the day after the wedding as well and all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was so great to have friends/family who had travelled all over the country have a postive experience as well.
