Super view of the harbour, just a very short stroll from the centre. Great place if you like walking.
Our second visit to this wonderful little cottage and it didn't disappoint. Incredible location, with a view looking over Staithes and its fishing boats, and out to sea. You couldn't want for better - your choice whether to head out or stay put and relax. Open fire, a friendly, cosy sitting room, good variety of books and maps, and well-equipped (but small) kitchen. The cottage was fresh and clean when we arrived, with pristine bedlinen to collapse into at the end of the day. Dog-friendly, parking right outside. We've stayed around the village a few times but would never go anywhere else now we've found this one.
We stayed here for only 2 nights, as we had to leave early due to a family emergency, but we absolutely loved it ! The cottage is on a hill, only a couple of minutes walk and you are at the sea. It has lovely views, and a very comfy bed. There's a small kitchen area, it is actually very tiny, but we managed fine to cook a couple of meals whilst we were there, and it is very well equipped. The added bonus for us was that we were able to take our Jack Russell, Alfie. Think he enjoyed the cliff top walks as much as we did. We hope to visit again, this time for longer, it certainly is the perfect place to recharge your batteries ! We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage for those seeking peace and relaxation, with stunning views. We will be back !
All of the above and more. Best weeks holiday. I felt safe, neighbors friendly and Mandy and Keith who look after No 4 Cowbar were very approachable..if I ever come back I will be booking in again! THankyou so much.
Beautiful fishing village not to be missed and excellent views from the cottage. Had a lovely weekend away. Comfortable bed, difficult to cook properly though, no work surface and microwave not working, Television and radio not working but Wifi available.
My wife and I were lucky enough to book this cottage for a 4 night trip to Staithes in December. Unfortunately, we had to leave our dogs in Canada, as they would have loved both the cottage and the town of Staithes. The cottage was perfect for us, the tiny but fully functional kitchen served us well for breakfast and a couple dinners. Before heading out to Europe to see family and friends for Christmas and New Years, we wanted some time to relax and get some sea side hiking in. I can't wait to stay here again, it was perfect in the late afternoon to put my feet up in front of the fire, read a few short stories about mutiny on the high sea, and enjoy the view with a glass of cider.
We loved the cottage, and will stay there again, hopefully with our terriers!!
The photos I took do not do it justice, the view is truly amazing, especially on a chilly day.
