We had lunch here this week whilst staying in Staithes. Very friendly service and a great little menu with good value.

It's just a great place. You can't beat it. Great atmosphere. We were welcomed so warmly. We actually sat outside this last weekend (June 8th 2014), some great banter about the football. Apparently I am the one and only Stoke City FC supporter ever to have visited Staithes. A bit of a rarity. People were coming out of the tea room just to witness said event. It was great fun. Food was fantastic and value very good. Comes highly recommended from us.

Arriving here after hauling ourselves and the dog up the hill from the village we well deserved a cuppa but were not prepared for the delights in store at this lovely little tea rooms. Both times we came it was filled with locals and that always bodes well. The ladies serving could not have been more cheery, patient or helpful and even made sure our dog was served with a large clean bowl of cold water which he needed after several hours chasing around on the beach. The toasted pumpernickel bread with cheddar and apple was superb and the rhubarb and custard cake with cream was fantastic .... Everything on the menu is freshly made on the premises and there is a daily specials board of local delicacies. The tea rooms offer salads, soups, toasted or regular sandwiches and beautiful home baked cakes and desserts at VERY reasonable prices. There are seats outside as well as in and they are dog friendly. I take my hat off to you ladies, you run a beautiful tea room that I would be proud to own myself.
