“A compact well equipped cottage.”

The cottage had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower room was very clean and plenty of towels were supplied, as was shampoo and shower gel. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of storage space. The lounge was comfortable and there were books CDs and DVDs and games to borrow, It was no distance to a well stocked village shop and there were several places to eat
and drink. Altogether an enjoyable experience!

“Great Cottage and location for the beautiful Yorkshire Dales”

We had a lovely stay in Jenny Wren in early August 2016. The cottage is really well appointed, clean and is perfect for a couple looking for a small cottage in The Dales. Middleham itself has good pubs for drinks and food, a small shop and, of course, race horse stables.

“Our cosy second home”

Spent a delightful week at this lovely cottage. The fact this was our fifth stay here will tell you what we think of it. Really feel relaxed as soon as we enter our haven of peace which is perfect to put our feet up after long walks in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside.
Comfy couches and bed ensure that we can rest and prepare for the next day's exertions galvanised by the odd glass of wine or two of course.
Everything you need is provided and if you forget anything , the local shop has a decent range of groceries.
Had a very plentiful and decent Sunday lunch in the Richard the Third, although not as good as about five years ago when we last ate there. The White Swan provides good food and very polite service. We also enjoyed the superb Ham and Eggs in the Cover bridge Inn and the Middleham chippy is pretty good too. A couple of drinks in the Black Swan is also a friendly experience.
Perfect cottage for unwinding away from city life.
