What a remarkable place. A true folly with very unusual and different things to interest you. Could be a little scary for small children though. There is a nice restaurant and shop, and we were also very lucky to be given a tour of the house, although this is not normally open to the public. Since our last visit, the folly has been extended again and now includes a spooky wine cellar and passage!

This is a great adventure for kids (and adults). All the kids had huge smiles on their faces and were having great fun.

What an absolutely brilliant and weird place in equal measure. We spent ages here wandering around not getting lost becaise there is no set route to follow. There is plenty to keep everyone entertained and it is just such an unusual place you can't help but be fascinated by it.

A really, really good day out for all the family although some of the staircases can be a bit tricky for very small legs.

Poured with rain on the day we visited but this didn't deter the fun enjoyed by children & adults alike - even on a fine day you're guaranteed to get wet at some point! Discoveries around every corner & intrigue through tunnels down below ground. Booking in advance is essential as entry is on a timed 2 hr tour to ensure the number of people in at any one time.
Such a nice idea for a stately home to put old follies to good use and ensure all round innocent fun.

Brave and Intrepid guest thou haste survived my maze and folly for this I congratulate you with honours and bestow upon you the order of the Grand Wizard.

Younglings as well as oldlings enjoy my maze of delights.

Sound and good worldly advice for future mortals wishing to visit.

As I sit here I see remember my kingdom being built in the year of the Dragon when Kings Ruled and sorceress were rare. Now in this modern earth I can still enjoy reading through the art of electronics and webs how my legacy lives on
