Charming accommodation, well equipped and set in the tranquil Lincolnshire countryside. Great local pubs and a fascinating setting by the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway.
We had a very warm welcome and we were delighted with our accommodation and the welcome pack of breakfast things & beverages. Highly recommended!
You couldnt go anywhere better for a quiet relaxing stay. The cosy railway cabin is well equipped and with Jenny's thoughtful breakfast tray and milk in the fridge you can start enjoying your break as soon as you arrive. There are lots of things provided for children to do and lots of dvds and books to read for both children and adults . There's also the added bonus of Ludborough railway which has many events throughout the year. I'm looking forward to many more stays.
Had a fabulous time at the railway cabin! Deceptively spacious and very clean. Lovely welcome pack containing crossiants, butter and jam plus more! Beautiful area for walks. Lovely owners, would love to make a return visit! The museum was great fun :)
A great quirky property in a lovely, peaceful and relaxing area.
The carriage has everything you could possibly need for a great holiday.
Loved the train themed bedding in the bunk-room. good double with comfy bed and loads of storage, TV and hairdryer.
There's outside space for al fresco eating if you are lucky enough to get the weather like us.
Welcome breakfast tray and loads of DVD's, books and info about the area to keep you amused.
Louth is about 10 minutes away for local supermarkets. Mablethorpe and its beautiful beach is 30 minutes away and Skegness a little further but worth a trip just for the Monster Trucks at the Stadium.
My young nephew loved the place and said it was the best holiday he had been on this year- praise indeed.
Thanks to Jenny and Wayne for a fab stay.
My wife and I had a long weekend in Cygnus in April 2016 and were not disappointed.
The converted carriage is deceptively spacious, whilst a lot of the fixtures and fittings still allow it to retain the feeling of being in an old railway carriage.
The carriage has decking all the way around and was a nice secure area for our little boy to play as we relaxed on the outside seats.
It was also surprisingly warm and cosy.
Our host, Jenny, was very welcoming and helpful and the welcome pack of bread, milk, tea, coffee and more was most welcome.
All in all this was a great value and most enjoyable place to stay and we have recommended it to family and friends!
Lovely location for our plans, Central location in Lincolnshire with loads of interesting places to Visit. Right outside the Site is a Heritage railway line for Train buffs, within 30 minutes drive is the Seaside resort of Cleethorpes and 30minutes inland is Market Rasen racecourse so plenty of variety
