Great base to visit the seals at Donna Nook and Louth, a lovely town. Very spacious, clean and tidy property. Privately positioned with fine open views at the back, of farmland. Weather was good, but still appreciated the central heating. Lovely buns on arrival as well as eggs. Can see that friends with dogs would love this.
What a great little gem this is. Home from home and more. Quiet and the little extras such as cake, milk and eggs were lovely. Definitely be back for longer next time.
We enjoyed a lovely week here at the end of October 2017. The cottage was well equipped and clean and managed to be both cosy as well as spacious. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming - cakes and a bottle of wine on arrival were much appreciated. There is a 40 minute stroll around lanes from the cottage ideal for morning dog walking (never mind the fact that I got lost on the first morning and ended up wandering the Lincolnshire bye ways like some modern day Flying Dutchman till my wife found me wondering whether to turn left or right and the end of one particular grassy track!).
There are plenty of good walks within an easy drive from the property and Lincoln, only about an hour away, is well worth a visit with its interesting castle, impressive cathedral and well stocked whisky shop.
As Leonard Cohen once sang, “I was fighting with temptation, but I didn't want to win. A man like me don't' like to see, temptation caving in'!
You’ll have a great time.
It’s not far from the centre of events either.
An absolute gem of a holiday property, tucked away but close enough to get to see all that the area had to offer.
Lovely welcome by the hosts for both us and our little dog with treats for him and a delicious cake for us.
Comfy beds, fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries.
It was our first visit but will definitely not be our last!
Another lovely stay at The Pigsty. A real home from home with everything you could need. Fantastic little extra's welcome pack and fresh eggs. Beautiful decor and furnishings, spotlessly clean. Thank you again Kim & Paul
