We had a very relaxing private stay here.
We had a welcome pack basket also cakes, tea, milk, sugar .. Just what we needed after the drive. .our dogs even had a welcome pack. Bed and bowls were even supplied which was a lovely surprise.
It is perfectly situated for us, far enough away from the busyness but near enough to travel to.
Would definitely recommend and love to stay again.
We stayed in the Pigsty in March and was very impressed when we arrived, located at the back of the owners house yet very private with a high fence, great for our dog to run around and nice big patio doors we could leave open. The place is lovely and clean and well equipped even dog bowls etc left for us to use. I would like to say a special thank you to the owner for looking into local pubs which would allow dogs. Very helpful. Theres not a great deal to do in the area however this suited as us as we walked the dog and relaxed. I would def recommend for this type of break.
Had a lovely time at The Pigsty. Lovely rural surroundings approximately 4 miles from Louth. Great for walking. Lovely pub nearby and beautiful village. Accommodation great. Thank you for the lovely cakes and sweet for the children which was a lovely touch. Dog really enjoyed it. Would recommend the Greyhound Pub in Louth which we were able to take the dog inside whilst having a meal. Louth is lovely. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Hopefully we will be back.
Great place for a short break away from all the noise of the city where we live, has everything you need for everyday life, all the home comforts you have back home,no sky TV though lol, great view out onto the countryside, lovely comfy four poster bed, would love to go again when the weather hots up a bit :)
We stayed at The Pigsty while waiting to move into our new place. The house was very clean and it had everything we needed for that length of stay. It has a great open plan kitchen/living room area with loads of space and the decor is really nice, felt like home away from home! The bedroom is large with double doors that open into the garden and a window view to the back. You have your own private garden space which you don't find with some places. It is really quiet there, no car traffic which is what you want and there are some great places to ride bikes or go walking, the Covenham Reservoir is just a 10 minute walk away - great views from there! There are 2 pubs/Restaurants in the village - the Millhouse and New Plough Inn, Millhouse is walking distance and has great food and atmosphere. All in all we couldn't have stayed at a better place or with hosts as great at Lindsey and Chris, they were the best!
