I went to Brakenborough Hall for my 30th birthday and was completely bowled over by the accommodation and the hospitality of Paul and Flora.
Firstly the accommodation was delightful, I rented out all three apartments and each one was lovely, clean and interesting, The lower apartments keeping their stable like features, making them cosy and fun places. The Granary with the beautiful clock and workings used as decoration. There was also a dressing up box in the Granary, which was muchly enjoyed by many 'big kids'.
The surrounding area was beautiful. The medieval village and the new born calf the highlights. Paul took us around the cows, answering our questions and letting us know what was about the place.
Paul and Flora were delightful welcoming us to their home (we had milk from their cows in the fridge!!! along with tea, coffee and a loaf). They even brought me a bottle o something nice to celebrate with on the Saturday.
I can't recommend this place enough. It made my 30th birthday perfect, and for an incredibly reasonable cost. Please if you are thinking - don't - just book immediately!
