“Brilliant, Stunning and Friendly”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

I went to Brakenborough Hall for my 30th birthday and was completely bowled over by the accommodation and the hospitality of Paul and Flora.

Firstly the accommodation was delightful, I rented out all three apartments and each one was lovely, clean and interesting, The lower apartments keeping their stable like features, making them cosy and fun places. The Granary with the beautiful clock and workings used as decoration. There was also a dressing up box in the Granary, which was muchly enjoyed by many 'big kids'.

The surrounding area was beautiful. The medieval village and the new born calf the highlights. Paul took us around the cows, answering our questions and letting us know what was about the place.

Paul and Flora were delightful welcoming us to their home (we had milk from their cows in the fridge!!! along with tea, coffee and a loaf). They even brought me a bottle o something nice to celebrate with on the Saturday.

I can't recommend this place enough. It made my 30th birthday perfect, and for an incredibly reasonable cost. Please if you are thinking - don't - just book immediately!

Helen

Stayed at Brackenborough Hall for a friends birthday.
What a truly excellent place to stay. The owners could not be friendlier and they are so helpful.
The apartments are rustic and very well furnished. It's the perfect place for families, with so many toys and games for young and old.
Paul, the owner, gave us a tour of the farm which was very interesting and fun.
The snow was on the ground when we went and the final few miles were a skating rink!
We will be going again, it was a fantastic long weekend!

It was my 40th birthday so I was looking for a weekend venue that suited enough accommodation, child friendly and stuff to do during the day.
This venue ticked all the boxes and more; in fact because it was snowing the weekend we went we've got to go back and do all the stuff that was on offer.
Paul and Fiona really have thought of everything, amazing attention to details and they even got me a birthday present.
Ps we've the guest that, on their Facebook page made the snow man on their front lawn

We were fortunate to win a short break at Brackenborough Hall - Granary, at the Jubilee celebrations, near my parents village. So I invited my sister and family to join my husband, daughter and I to stay with us in this wonderful accommodation, so that we could all be together for my mums birthday. Paul and Flora have thought of absolutely everything. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of spare bedding. We never ran short of a plate or a glass, we didn't want for anything. We particularly loved the large dining table and open plan kitchen which is so great for families and sharing birthday cake! Paul and Flora were so welcoming, nothing was a problem. My neice and nephew loved Paul's tour of the crewe yard to see the young calves and playing table tennis in the reception area.
There are maps and leaflets and information on absolutely everything from walks to local attractions to the best restaurants. We had the best time, in the best location and it was all topped off with Paul and Floras wonderful hospitality. We will definitely go back again and cannot recommend highly enough.

I have to echo the other reviews and say a very big thank you to Paul and Flora for their hospitality. You really have thought of everything. Over and above many other holiday apartments in every way, including taking the children to see the new calves that had been born a week before. We stayed in the Granary - excellent accommodation - very comfortable, well equipped and warm. I loved the fact there are two big family rooms. Would highly recommend this place.

We just visited Brackenborough for our fourth time in 18 months.

It is a wonderful, quiet and beautiful location near Louth. On this recent visit our friends accompanied us so in total there were 4 adults, 3 children under 3 and 2 dogs. Everything is so well catered for - cots, high-chairs, baby accessories all supplied, even dog bowls and children's toys. Paul and Flora think of everything - they know what it is like having a young family in tow!

Based in the West Midlands, the drive is just about 2 hours and easy, unlike Wales' long-windy rounds. Louth has a brand-new leisure centre which includes children's slide, pirate ship, toddler's pool, etc. Good curry house in the town centre, and we like Theddlethorpe Beach about 20 minutes away for the dogs.

When Kate and I are looking for a holiday with our family, we want to switch-off straight-away. Brackenborough Hall Coach House provides just what we need for a complete stress-free holiday. Fabulous!

Room Tip: We prefer the Stables or Saddle Room. Saddle Room is slightly bigger but has 2 steps up into the lou...

Many many thanks to flora and Paul for their wonderful hospitality. Fireworks and champagne on the lawn at midnight is a great touch. All the 14 of us (and two dogs) age range 18 months to 65 had a great time. If you need to know places to visit, good pubs, restaurants etc just ask and flora and Paul will recommend the perfect place. Definitely coming back. Thank you. John
