My husband and I have traveled to many many hotels around the world and also in the UK and had the pleasure of eating in many top class restaurants usually decorated with various awards, so we are usually a little fussy and critical when we eat out! We decided to go to Serendipity to enjoy the 7 course tasting experience and we are both extremely glad that we did. We arrive to a lovely warm welcome, had gorgeous canapes and a glass of wine in the bar lounge area and then we were seated in the small and very intimate restaurant which provided lovely views of the gardens and lawns. The food just kept coming, course after course! Every dish was a complete surprise and nothing short of a creative masterpiece. Now neither my husband and I are guru's in food but this is irrelevant because the Chef here is, so if you decide to go for a meal here you will experience food that has clearly been sourced with a great deal of thought and dishes that you simply will not find on the menu anyway locally. I live and work in Louth and I can definately say without any hesitation that this restaurant is the best for miles and miles. I also couldn't believe how reasonable it was when we got our bill and given the effort that clearly goes into the menu planning each and every night, as I believe every evening the menu is individually created around the likes and dislikes of those that have booked tables, we both thought this was exceptional value for money and the owners could charge a lot more as the restaurant is truly unique! Can't wait to go back again!
