We went to the Priory for our Wedding Breakfast and Reception one year ago and had an experience that we wished to undertake every year to celebrate our marriage. We had an exceptional Wedding Breakfast and all of our guest still rave about the food, which was wonderful and we considered this our fairytale meal which was only for our special day, but I'm overjoyed that the care and consideration of the experience at Serendipity did not let us down and in our mind never could. The staff remembered our Fool and Pyjama reception and it was like being around old friends, the new member of staff that we hadn't met before was very engaging and talkative making our pre-meal drinks a pleasure. Unfortunately there were not many guests for a meal, but at times there was cross-party conversation and a sing song of Happy Birthday to the Birthday Girl that evening. The meal, what can I say: each course was expertly crafted in texture, colour, taste and quantity. The staff were courteous and knowledgable of each complex course, Becky who was front of house was preempting our every need, but not overbaring Thirteen courses or so later and numerous palet cleansers (which complimented each course expertly) we were both full and happy, struggling to eat chocolates at the end of the meal. We have now booked for the next year to enjoy our Cotton Anniversary. It is an experience of a lifetime that everyone should experience, just remember that there is no fixed menu and that's the fun of it, and who knows it might become the lifelong tradition like it has for us. Paul, the chef, is the up and coming Heston Blumenthal of Louth if not better.
