Friendly and helpful staff.
Delicious food - we had breakfast and dinner.
Quirky building with lots of lovely features.
Sadly my room had a really strong smell of cigarettes as did all the bedding. Really let things down for me.

Visited for dinner with family of 6 ,no one on reception so went into bar,
then taken to table in room with open fire .
We waited a while for a waiter to appear, we asked questions about the menu he had to go to kitchen each time to find answer , we ordered our food to be told 5 mins later only two portions available .then the wrong amount of pate served and so it went on .
very loud waitress serving next table . A scruffy staff member kept coming out of function room opposite our table very off putting .
Not a very professional set up very disappointed.
The food was good shame about the service .

We booked a double room and we were on the first floor. Room smelled damp and was dark and decor was very tired. The bed was terrible!!! Bathroom was very poor, peeling wallpaper and peeling paint around the window. Very basic, needs updating.
However, the breakfast was very good with nice friendly staff.
Considering the amount we paid for the room and breakfast, our stay was extremely disappointing.

There is good parking at the rear of the hotel. My room was quiet from outside but the floor creeks along the landing and doors bang loudly. Tea making facilities in the room were good with plenty of tea bags for one person. The rooms are dated and the shower cubicle was made for small people. I am on the large size and squeezed into it. Overall it was reasonable value for money, breakfast is expensive with a witherspoons in walking distance (2mins) for 1/2 the price.

The Angel Hotel & Restaurant is an independent hotel at the Market Harborough, near downtown, center, restaurants, bars, and with parking available. This place is a perfect venue for hosting social functions, business, conferences, weddings and family reunion. I this case we enjoy a Rioja Wine Marsterclass with Pedro Benito Urbina.
