“Very comfortable and welcoming”
Reviewed October 7, 2015 for a stay in September 2015

The owners made us very welcome and were on hand to ensure we had everything we needed. My husband is pretty much wheelchair bound and the front door was a problem. Also
there was no disabled showering facility, however, wide internal doors and corridors made getting around very easy. Outside space was not as shown in the picture which had been taken from the owners garden. A very pretty village with good access to Market Harborough for eating and shopping. Very well equipped property.

Liked best: The comfortable lounge with lovely views.
Liked least: Trying to get a wheelchair over a gravel drive and up a high door step.

“4 Week business stay”
Reviewed July 9, 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We had the pleasure of spending 4 weeks at Wickham House during March 2015. Peter and Louise.are excellent hosts We had clean bedding and towels each week and found that milk and other goodies was provided on arrival. A small but very nice touch.
The accommodation is very comfortable, and for an extended business trip it is ideal, certainly a lot better than staying in a hotel!. Everything you could need is provided, the kitchen is well stocked, the lounge area is very comfortable and has a large TV and sky. There is a nice dining area and beautifully maintained gardens.. The bathroom is new and has a great shower! The only negative is the slow broadband speed, but it's sufficient for emails, etc.
I would also recommend the accommodation to holiday makers! Many thanks again.

“LIKE HOME FROM HOME”
Reviewed November 28, 2014 for a stay in January 2014

Staying here was like home from home, many Thanks to Peter and Louise. We stayed for 2 months, January and February and we are staying again in 2015 for the same 2 months. It is a lovely warm, cosy bungalow with all the amenities one needs. Very close to Market Harborough which is a beautiful Market Town with plenty of restaurants and shopping.

“Home from Home”
Reviewed November 4, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We really enjoyed our stay at this delightful home.

The photos don't do it justice, it really offers excellent accommodation good space and is warm, quiet and comfortable with all amenities you need for your stay.

We have a small dog who was made very welcome by the owners, the small garden attached to the property is ideal, safe and secure for both children and dogs alike

The owners Peter and Louise are very welcoming and happy to help when and wherever possible.

It is in a good central location with many local attractions close by.

We would not hesitate to return to further explore the area

“An excellent choice for us”
Reviewed October 29, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

It can be problematic booking accommodation on the web as owners sometimes exaggerate a little. As gite owners ourselves, we are always careful about this. Wickham House exceeded our expectations and was extremely well-equipped and our hosts, Louise and Peter were very welcoming and charming. Wickham House is ideally placed for us as we needed to be close to Desborough and Leicester. It was easy to find and very comfortable.

“A perfect home from home in a lovely part of England”
Reviewed December 3, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

We stayed at Wickham House for two weeks in June after travelling from Queensland Australia. Our online grocery order arrived before we did but the kind owners Peter and Loiuse unpacked these for us and stacked the fridge/freezer. Arriving with mountain bikes to explore the surrounding countryside and off road tracks we were given the use of a lockable garden shed to store the bikes. With internet wifi, comfortable furnishings and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom our stay was very enjoyable. The owners who live 'on site' in the main house were very welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for them and consequently we decided to return later in the summer for another stay!
