“Delightful”
Reviewed January 31, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

This is a delightful little place. I highly recommend staying here.

It was clean, warm and cosy and the decor was lovely. I spent a great deal of time researching the local area for the right place to stay and was attracted by the pictures, reviews and the reasonable price and wasn't let down.

The sofa was larger than it looked in the picture and was super comfy. The set up of the open plan living area made great use of the space. The kitchen had everything we needed (from utensils, tea and coffee to dishwasher tablets, cleaning products and plenty of coasters!) and I was able to prepare a little meal on the first night for our friends who were visiting from South Africa and staying with family locally. The bedroom was lovely and had a little comfy chair that we were able to pop next door into the living area for additional seating. The bathroom was also nice with a little cupboard with a washer/dryer. The shower was easy to use.

The Old Manse Retreat is next door to the beautiful main residence and landscaped front garden and even though it was above the garage, we couldn't hear anything. The owners had the perfect balance of being friendly and approachable but still maintaining the feeling of privacy as well. Off road parking was a bonus.

I also brought my five year old daughter along for the trip and she had a fabulous time. She can be quite a sensitive soul when staying away from home but it was clear from the start that she felt very safe and at home immediately - probably due to the homely feel of the place.

I would definitely visit again and highly recommend staying here!

“Wonderful accommodation in a perfect location”
Reviewed August 25, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Nailsworth is the perfect place to stay, big enough that you have everything you need but not big enough to be crowded or busy. The accommodation was perfectly kept and Jakie was always friendly and helpful when called upon. I would recommend the retreat to anyone and hope to return myself.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed April 12, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

We just got back from a weekend away here and it was perfect. The retreat was nicely decorated, in a perfect location. Nice and quiet but just round the corner from the local town! Weekend wasn't long enough :)
