Description: The sybarites among you may well have heard of Gloucestershire's Three Choirs vineyard, England's most noted wine producer. And if you're loving the wine, you'll be rather excited to hear that you can dine among the vines too. The Three choirs restaurant is as English as you'd expect from one of the biggest local names on the shop shelves. Burgandy red walls surround black leather seating, tartan upholstered bucket chairs and brick pillars, a mix of classic and modern which touches on the eccentric. Head Chef Darren Leonard has created a menu which ensures that your experience is as much about the dining as the drinking - thoroughly British and totally indulgent.

Lovely, lovely food. Staff so efficient, attentive without being overbearing, helpful. I can't sing enough praises. We had such a nice afternoon there, lunch then the wine tasting tour.

I could have excused the frosty welcome, the cold, late food and the dreadful service but it was the faces being pulled behind my elderly relative's back which really sealed the deal. Never going back!

We had a guided tour of this very fine English vineyard, and a pleasant meal afterwards. In a beautiful country setting, very knowledgeable and helpful staff and, oh yes, the wine was excellent! Don't miss St Mary's Church, about 1.5 miles due North of Kempley "St Mary's Church, Kempley has in its chancel "the most complete set of Romanesque frescos in northern Europe"[1], including the Christ in Majesty painting created in about 1120. On the walls of the nave are further images, including a wheel of life, showing the life cycle of man. These are worked in tempera painted on dry lime mortar, unlike those in the chancel which are true frescoes. St Mary's Church is owned by English Heritage and maintained by The Friends of Kempley Churches.(Location: 51.9787°N 2.4823°W)
The Church has the oldest roof of any building in Britain, dating from 1120-1150[2] and has an unusually well-preserved interior. The churchyard is very beautiful in the early months of the year often being covered in wild daffodils in late February and early March" Source Wikipedia.

Fantastic views, cold food, but absolutely awful service.
We visited with a well behaved toddler- who was presented with a knife and fork to eat his soup, which together with long waits between courses made for a pretty difficult time.
A smile and a willingness to please would have gone a long way to improve what was sadly a very mediocre experience.
We were not the only table that left looking disappointed.

My goodness this was a lovely surprise for time 'away from it all'. A work friend made the recommendation and I choose to stay in a Lodge amongst the vines. What a treat! Peace, lovely views and a wonderful breakfast hamper delivered to the terrace area in the morning. What a fantastic way to start the day. It felt like Provence. Really clean, very spacious accommodation with lovely furnishings and finishing touches. The restaurant was equally excellent. Beautiful food choices perfectly prepared and presented with unobtrusive yet attentive staff. i would recommend the classic Cuvee. I would love to go back very soon.
