We visited the centre today using a Groupon voucher. From the outside the centre does not look like anything special, but when you get into the grounds there is so much to see. It is nice to see that most of the birds are individually housed. It is nice to also see that the birds spend some of their time outside on the perches as well. The two out of the three flying displays that we did see were very spectacular. The handlers doing the flying displays made it fun for all ages. There is plenty of seating dotted around the place and the picnic area is vast. This would be wonderful on a really hot summers day for relaxing. There is an ample sized play area for children to play in. There is a coffee shop but we did find the service a bit slow. We waited around 20 minutes for a bacon sandwich to come out. There are a few Labradors roaming around the place including the outside seating area of the coffee shop which probably is not to everyone's liking if you are not a dog lover and I did notice a Labrador in the coffee shop, but there again some pubs allow dogs in.

We purchased a Groupon deal for the centre. I have never heard of this place before and we were pleasantly surprised when we got there. I was staggered at the amount of birds on display and each and every one was absolutely stunning, Im sure most of them actually pose for the camera. The staff were excellent, very knowledgeable and very entertaining. What set this centre apart form any other is the quality of the flying displays, we stayed for two displays and arrived too late for the first. One of the Harris Hawks did several extremely low passes over the crowd, two of which seemed directed at me, one of the leather safety straps attached to the hawk actually brushed my head it was that low, an absolutely stunning display. I wouldnt hesitate to visit again.

Well worth a trip if you are in the area, we took a picnic with us and watched two displays. We found it very good value for money.

Was a lovely place and thought the displays were brilliant. The amount of birds there to look at was great with a wide variety both in cages and free on the grass. The displays were informative and fun. The handlers doing the displays were also friendly and pleased to answer any questions and give you time to take photos. The down side however was the cafe. Food was good and prices reasonable however the roaming large black labradors in the dining area was not appealing. Whilst eating your meal you are joined by 2,3 or 4 dogs waiting for you to drop bits. Not sure this is appropriate for a family place either with young children visiting. The cafe also didnt take card payment which we were not informed about until after orders had been made.

Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased you enjoyed the flying demonstrations, photographic opportunities and knowledge of the staff.

Regarding your comments about the dogs, there is a notice before you enter the centre to let visitors know that the owners labradors are on the premises. The Centre is their home and they are a laid back bunch of dogs who are allowed to go pretty much everywhere except the food preparation area - in accordance with hygiene regulations. We are often told that one of the attractions of the Centre is the friendy dogs, all of whom are child friendly.

The lack of card facilities in the cafe is being addressed at this pecise moment and whilst this is being put in place, there is a notice informing visitors of this. However if visitors do wish to pay by card, this is possible by taking the receipt to the shop on the way out to use the card machine there.
