“Good place at a fair price”
Reviewed June 25, 2012

Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Wi fi worked intermittent but we had wireless and it did not matter so much. Lights in parking area very bright so looked secure but hard for curtains to totally block out. Place was full but still no noise problem. The restaurant was not free but did have a coupon for ten dollars at the breakfast. The breakfast was excellent at cost of additional five dollars for two. Would stay there again readily.

The sitting chair was tattered. The rim under the bathroom sink top was all mildewed. The sink was cracked There was rotting fruit under the bed. The room was generally worn. I didn't like the coffee brewed in the room

The website said there was a continental breakfast. There is no continental breakfast. We ate breakfast in the attached Mexican restaurant. I observed that other customers had little blue cards that were being used at the cash register; I asked a neighboring table what the cards were and discovered that they had been given vouchers worth $5 for a single breakfast or $10 for the table. I went to the hotel front desk and was given one.

Oh, I ordered an omlet; it was not an omlet, it was more of a crepe; but it was good.

Website said continental breakfast. None was offered. Also, cleaniness a bit low. Coffee maker had old coffee and filter in it, carpet did not appear to be vacuumed, and their was a hair issue with the shower too (if you know what I mean). The a/c unit was very loud. We could not hear the neighbors except for when we were in the bathroom and they sounded like they were in there with us. On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and the grounds were decent too.

Room Tip: We had a pool side room and didn't have too much exterior noise.

The room is always clean and nice. The staff is always polite and helpful. The food is great and the bar maids at the Frog Bar are hot. What more could you ask for.

Room Tip: Smoking rooms are available.

We have to stay in a lot of hotels, and never know what we're going to get. This was a nice surprise. It was clean, and the room was pleasant and comfortable. The mattress was kind of soft, but we like firm mattresses. It had fitted sheets! It was an older hotel, but they have kept it up well. However, they do not have a designated area for truck parking, but allowed us to park our rig in the parking lot. There was enough room, and we were able to leave in the morning with no trouble. The pool looked clean and sparkly, we had dinner at the Mexican restaurant on the premises, and it was very good. They gave us a $10 coupon for 2 people for breakfast at the restaurant, however we didn't use it. All in all, it was a nice place. I would recommend this hotel for travelers.

I checked out the reviews on tripadvisor and this hotel looked pretty good so off we went. The woman at the front desk was wonderful and offered us a "manager special" rate of 67$ which was great. We requested a room not facing I-40 and it was quiet and peaceful. There's a small pool that opens after Memorial Day. This hotel is older but it was clean and well maintained. it also has free wi-fi which worked great. The 5$ coupon for breakfast was great, restaurant staff was attentive and nice. We asked a bunch of area-specific questions at the front desk and the woman was very helpful and sweet. Great stay.
