I've attended two classical concerts at Saffron Hall. We're lucky to have such a versatile auditorium with superb acoustics. I challenge anyone to not be impressed - feedback from performers and audience alike suggests that THEY are delighted with the Hall as a place to demonstrate and sample their skills. Well done Yellow Car trust - a wonderful gift to the people of Saffron Walden for the benefit of the wider community.

John Lill, the 69 year old concert pianist who has played in over fifty countries, described Saffron Hall as one of the finest concert halls of its size that he has ever played in. What a fantastic compliment and confirmation of all the talk of the state of the art acoustics that had been well publicised prior to the opening. I can't claim to have a particularly discerning ear but it sounded good to me!! As a Saffron Walden resident I feel incredibly lucky to have this wonderful facility on my doorstep and look forward to appreciating the skills of internationally renowned performers such as John Lill and the forthcoming Tasmin Little, in the months and years ahead.

Saffron Hall opened at the end of November 2013 and is a superb new facility just on the edge of Saffron Walden. It seats 730 people and is already attracting international stars. It has stunning acoustics! See its website www.saffronhall.com for the programme for the forthcoming season.
