Decided to give it a whirl especially as it seems a little more family orientated with lovely views of the sea.
Prices of food not too bad, quality ok, cooking ok, good value for the mixed grill.
Service good, staff polite and knowledgeable on what is on offer at this pub.
They do do B & B.

We popped in for a quick drink but ended up having a meal as the sea views were excellent.
The chef was very helpful - they had run out of the special fish of the day - but he offered to saute some fresh cod which was delicious. Served with nice bit of salad and chips - and reasonable prices.
We were also told to get our own cutlery - agree this is a bit odd when the pub is practically empty! However, it is a pub - not a restaurant. I would go back next time I am in Lyme Regis as it is great to look out at the sea from your table.

Ten of us were in our annual re-union, and had visited the day before for a cheeky beer. After spotting 16oz Mixed Grill on the board for £10.95 we headed back the next day for dinner.
We were not disappointed! From the mentioned grill, grilled panga, scampi, moules, cod and a steak where the chef personally came from the kitched to confirm how blue it was to be cooked - what can I say? Excellent service all round
And to round off the owner gave us lifts back to our accommodation, what incredible service!

Don't miss it.

The day was sunny and breezy. We ordered fish and chips. The staff were cheerful and courteous. The fish arrived promptly. It was hot and delicious. The historic atmosphere was charming. The sea views were spectacular. The occasion was most memorable.

Menu looked appetising. Visited on a cold, wet day so chose comfort food - Wiltshire ham, organic free range egg and chips at £7.20. We're not big eaters but this was not a big portion - the ham was mediocre and quite fatty, the egg was an egg (!) nothing out of the ordinary and the chips looked home made but certainly weren't and were undercooked and not very hot. One positive the plates WERE hot!
As it was a horrible day there were few customers so would've expected the staff to be pleased to see us! But no - very underwhelming service from both bar staff and waitress.
What a shame because this pub is in a lovely position with wonderful views out over the sea (well I expect it has when it's not pouring with rain!!)
