There's no public parking at the Mill so we parked Woodmead Car Park (DT7 3PG). To get to the mill from the car park we walked along the terrace (Coombe St) between the River Lym and the leat which feeds the mill. This is a nice and interesting approach to the mill. The mill admission is very reasonable. The tour is guided and starts at the top of the mill and works it's way downwards. The operational mill with all its machinery and operations are demonstrated and explained. You can see how the flour is made and take some back with you from the shop. We (inc 2 small children) found it really interesting and enjoyable.
There's also a shop, micro brewery, cafe and cheese shop.... we were short on time so we only tried the cafe. We found the cafe to be really nice and the owner very helpful and we'd highly recommend.
