An excellent guest house - friendly, comfortable, and excellent location. We stayed in a spacious double room with a lovely sea view and large en-suite bathroom. The magnificent breakfasts deserve special mention - they set us up admirably for our long coastal walks.

All in all, a five star experience.

Room Tip: Recommend kingsize room at front as that is the one we stayed in, but I'm sure the others are eq...

My wife and I are regular visitors to Lyme and usually rent a cottage but the couple of nights we stayed in Devonia were excellent. The setting is superb with fantastic views and the owners could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Our room was ideal with comfy double bed and convenient shower room and breakfast was tasty, fresh and plentiful. Near enough to the town and the beach for a sunny day and very handy for great pubs "Nag's Head" and "Volunteer". Staying here also occasioned us to visit a restaurant we've walked past for years - The Jurassic Coast - really superb. all in all a delightful experience and one we hope to repeat as soon as possible.

Cannot fault this guest house--- Our hosts went out of their way to make us feel at home which was very much appreciated after a long and tiring drive. Lovely views of the bay from bedroom window - worth paying that little extra for.......
Spotless bedrooms, well equipped bathrooms, sumptious breakfasts---though I was disappointed to be served boil in the bag kippers!!!

Have recommended Devonia to friends & family.

We stayed for two nights at Devonia and thought every aspect of it wonderful. The location is good as you have wonderful views over the Bay but of course Lyme Regis is hilly so be prepared for the walks up and down!! The accomodation is great!! We had the kingsize room at the front and couldn't fault it - enormous bathroom , comfy bed, well furnished - lovely!! Breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked, with a great selection cereals and teas and as much toast as you could eat!! The welcome was friendly and I am sure nothing would have been too much trouble if we had needed anything extra. It was all very relaxed and we have no hesitation in recommending this lovely Bed and Breakfast.

Arrived here early Saturday evening with my son after an exhausting day trooping around Portsmouth University then driving across to Lyme Regis. Was greeted as the door by Lindsey who offered to carry our bags in. Once in he made the key available, directed us to the lounge and provided us with coffee and biscuits, which was most welcoming, together with the books and papers on offer. The twin room was big, clean and well presented. The bathroom was immacuatley clean, well appointed with good quality toiletries. The beds were comfy. The morning came and showed us how light and airey the room was. Breakfast served by Gail, was exemplary and filling for our time in the town and on the beach. Lindsey let us keep the car on the drive for the morning so that we could walk into the town, recognising what a trouble it is to park in Lyme Regis. Thanks you for a relaxing stay and we'll make sure you're top of our list of places to stay when we come back.

Room Tip: The twin room was big enough for 2, well appointed, light and airey and like home from home.

Arriving at the Devonia Guest House, you are greeted with the most amazing views of the rooftops and the sea and of course the charming and kind owners Gail and Lindsey, who are very particular about making all their guest feel comfortable and at home. In fact in the three days I have spent there I felt very much at home. The room was very comfortable, spotless with everything you need after spending all day outdoors. I loved the crisp white linen and even though the bed was a little soft for me I have slept very well. The bathroom was slightly small, but for a single room it had a lovely shower and everything else necessary. The breakfast was excellent with a big choice of cereal, fruit and bread with added amazing views of sunrise over Portland. The Devonia Guest House is also very well placed for walks into the town centre and the beaches and it offers parking for all the guest, which is very convenient as most of the carparks are usually full. I would definately recomend this accomodation to anyone, who is planning a visit. Thank you Gail and Lindsay
