Great fun to hand feed the mullet at this small independant aquarium of well cared for local species.(So unlike all the souless sealife centres nowadays). The owner was a lovely man, very friendly and knowlegable. My friend has a fantastic video clip of us delightedly laughing as the fish make wonderfull slurping sounds and wrestle the food from our hands. 'Children' of all ages will love it!

Lovley walk fround the cobb to the aquarium however it is very small, lots to see but for the entry fee i dont feel you get value for money. Worth a look if you havent been before.

“the aquarium with a big surprise!”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

We met Max the owner at the door and he was keen for us to 'feed the Mullet'! What a great experience that turned out to be. Max explained all about how he raised and trained the mullet to feed from the hand. It was amazing where else in the world can you do this! Even for two adults like us it was great fun, any child would love it. Max's enthusiasm and the mullet make it a fun and unusual attraction! It's a must when visiting Lyme Regis! "Thank you Max" Highly recommend It!

“Small, limited, Nice but pricey”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

It passes 5-10 mins on the end of the Cobb.
Nice couple of larger tanks but this place seriously needs to look at it's pricing!

“Marine Aquarium - Lyme Regis”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

I've been visiting this for over thirty years since I was a child , and now my kids love it . Feeding the Mullet is a fantastic experience for anyone , any age . I only wish they still had the big Conga but even so a visit to Lyme just wouldn't be the same without a walk along the Cobb and and a visit to the Aquarium .

See you next year
