Impressive fossils to be found and seen in huge boulders. Safe beech, stay away from the cliff though

It was great fun looking for fossils, we found several small ones and seeing the really large ones which are embedded in the blue lias stone was really amazing. I think it would be great for people of any age, although I'd imagine the stones might be prety slippy in the wet so would recommend decent footwear!

This was worth wandering about and did see many fossils in the rocks close to the cliffs
The limestone was different than other areas with the platforms developed.
I finally when to a shop and bought some small ammonites.
Lots of Bakery shops with very good goodies to have on the Walkabouts

Very much quieter than the central beach in Lyme Regis, with some amazing limestone platforms to go rock pooling. Also the rocks close to the cliffs show some large ammonites as well as some with many tiny ammonites.

I'd advise to follow any advice put out about going close to the cliff face, as there's evidence of major land slips. The sand is also a little sucking in places as well, but nothing too bad.

If you walk far enough along at low tide you will witness a unique prehistoric spectacle. The pavement is the graveyard of thousands of fossillised ammonites of every size.
