I really enjoy eating in the restaurant at the Harbour Inn. Food is always excellent, service is okay.
Good selection of fish dishes, also some meat dishes. Only one daily vegetarian option. Good choice of starters (soup is always very good) and puddings.

As usual we had our xmas lunch here on xmas day sitting in the window area so that I could have a good vista of the sea, harbour & beyond. ( Our fifth Xmas lunch I believe)

It was packed full of happy people sitting down to a fab lunch served by young well dressed staff. The men looked wonderful in their dickies, 3 peice suits & smart shirts & the girls in their pretty dresses & bling. All were happy & service was great.
The food was plentiful, delightfully presented, hot & utterly delicious & nothing was awry, it all flowed well as did the drinks & merriment.

My lobster & crab coctail was so yummy, I would love to have that every day for lunch from this day forth,& Richards venison carpacio was excellent, moist & delicious.
Richard had a huge portion of fillet of beef for his main lunch which was juicy & very tender & I had excellent succulent turbot, salmon & sea bass on creamy mash & we both shared a platter of vegetables plentiful & hot. Puds were to die for a scrummy panacotta, passion fruit parfait & fruits for me & cheesecake & mudslide coctail for hubby, both really delicious & then a lovely cheeseboard with coffee ( oops the choccies did not arrive but we were full up any way).

The champagne was delicious & chilled, the ciders flowed well, & the ports were full of depth & complexity.

Gosh it really was lovely and sitting amongst happy diners & with such fantastic views across the sea it was sublime.

Thank you all so much for making our Xmas day so perfect.

A group of us had the Christmas menu which was excellent quality and value. Staff were extremely helpful and coped really well considering the restaurant was totally full with a huge party, plus other smaller groups like ours. Although very noisy from the large party, we had a great night and all really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely recommend!

Had dinner here on Saturday night, Mussels for the boys, Bouillabaisse for me, forgot what Mrs had but think it was fish. All excellent, fresh, good sized portions. You can tell they are working hard in the kitchen. Service was a bit chaotic though, had two or three different young waiters and waitresses doing drinks, bread, main course, but missed clearing away glasses and empties. Not a big deal, but something for front of house to work on. We've also been here in summer when it is heaving and spills out onto the beach. We'll be back anyway!
