“Lovely tranquil beautifully gardened cottage”
Reviewed June 21, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Tina and I love this place. She painted the garden while I wrote about dreams and contentment. We will revisit Lane End Cottage annually, and although only a month away, I miss it already.

“A little piece of heaven”
Reviewed March 2, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

I sat in the conservatory watching a woodpecker, nuthatches and robin at the bird feeder and the local chickens scratching about in the wintry garden and decided this is a little piece of heaven. The cottage is beautiful inside and out; so comfortable and welcoming I didn't want to leave, but drove down to Lyme Regis for a walk on the beach and into Honiton for a coffee and supplies.
I'm going back in April when the garden will be delightful and again for a week in the summer!

“Absolutely beautiful”
Reviewed March 1, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We spent a weekend at this lovely cottage in a beautiful secluded spot in northeast Devon, which was so homely and comfortable, amid gorgeous gardens lovingly attended - at what was really the start of spring, not the end of winter. We wished we could have stayed snuggled up here for the remainder of the year. Leaving was difficult!

The kitchen is spacious with a lovely new heart-red Rayburn, the bed is one I shall miss, so dreamily comfortable, the shower (of two), bliss, the reading room a pleasure, the conservatory looking out to the bird tables, the lounge with a roaring fire one of the comforts of the ideal cottage retreat, it made a too brief stay a thorough delight. But in that short time we visited the lovely Lyme Regis, and pretty Axminster, and the drive down to Honiton is a delight.

I shall return here again, and again, when possible. Loved it. Still love it.

“Adorable cottage and gardens with gorgeous character”
Reviewed August 30, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

A special cottage and gardens cared for by special people. Through good taste, love and clearly a lot of hard work, all is finished to an excellent standard. It feels instantly like home, yet with so many characterful surprises: the tiered garden with shingle paths and arbors; a love seat outside and in; the conservatory (the epitome of relaxation), or the reading room; or HD stuff for film buffs; three (no less) different kinds of heating; and a special surprise that delights the soul (which I shall not chime on about).

I loved Lane End Cottage so much, I have come back… twice.

“You'll love it here, idyllic cottage in tranquil setting”
Reviewed July 11, 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Character cottage, beautifully furnished with a lovely large garden. Relaxing and great to see and hear such a variety of garden birds - saw nuthatches and woodpecker at the same time. With no light distractions the night sky is truly spectacular. It was so perfect it was difficult to leave on some days, but a good base to explore East Devon - Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth and the market town of Honiton. We received a warm welcome and helpful advice from Angela and Steve to make the most of our stay. We will be back.
