Had a wonderful stay at the Heasley House. The house is large with a really nice garden. Perfect for a large group of family or friends. Not much to see around the house but it's only a short drive to a nearby village with a pub and a longer (45 min) drive to many other villages and beaches. The area is very scenic and offers many good places to check out.
Stayed here with 10 other family members and our dogs. The house was better than anywhere else we had stayed. All our needs were catered for, lovely house and beautiful gardens.Good base for visiting North Devon but I enjoyed staying at the house relaxing!Thankyou Mandy and Miles.
perfect family holiday house all facilities catered for perfect rooms bar kitchen garden set in a quiet unspoilt area perfect retreat for a quiet peaceful holiday.
Heasley House is perfect for a large group. We were a group of 10 adults and 9 kids and the house had everything we needed. A well equipped kitchen (the commercial dishwasher was a godsend), a big garden for the kids to run around in and a bar for the grown ups to play in!
Beautiful decor - despite its size, it still felt welcoming and cosy, and the beds were really comfy.
We go away regularly as a large group and this is my favourite holiday house yet.
I hired Heasley House to celebrate my 50th birthday with friends. 16 ladies away for for a long weekend - what a treat - and Heasley House did not disappoint.
The house is divine. Every room is beautiful. The bedrooms are all lovely, each has an ensuite with fab REN products and soft towels. The dining room is a superb space for a big group. The bar room was a great hit and really gave our evenings a fun atmosphere. The sitting rooms are lovely and comfy, just right for morning coffee in PJ's. And the professional kitchen is completely set up for catering efficiently for a large group.
Parking was easy. The area quiet and rural but also convenient for lovely days out. We went cycling on the Tarka Trail from Barnstaple and visited the RHS garden at Rosemoor.
I cannot recommend this house highly enough. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going to book again for next year.
We had four generations spend a long weekend at the House which offered sociable spaces where all could sit and catch up, particularly lovely was the long dining room table with supporting kitchen which was very well equipped to turn around food for all. The living spaces provided rooms for people to sit and read or engage in banter over a board game or two. We also loved the open fires which provided for some cosy evenings and the gardens added further living space, which if the weather had been slightly better we would have explored to their full potential. A car is required for shopping or pub visits, that said if you get an Internet food delivery in, it is a home that you needn't wander far from since it is comfortable to stay in. Added to this large bedrooms, good quality linen and excellently appointed ensuites, we would recommend Heasley House highly to others.
Splendid large town house with especially well equipped kitchen. Dining room large with great table so all could sit down for dinner. Several lounge areas so the grumpy old men could go and hide! Extensive garden, but access difficult for older family members. Very good outdoor BBQ and seating if the Devon weather allows.
