“Brilliant food and service with superb setting over Devon hills”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

We absolutely loved The Glashouse Cafe when we visited in february and though it was cold, the light coming into the cafe made it look so summery. Andrea and her team make such delicious goodies, full English breakfast and sausage rolls especially, that we kept going back for more....delicious " home" cooked food and exquisite cakes and fabulous cappucino too! Great natural fresh local ingredients too....now, if they would only invent a calorie free cake we would actually move to Dartmouth! Good work guys! See you soon we hope!

“A Devon Gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

If you are ever in the region of Dartmouth and are in need of great coffee and excellent fresh food, just call into the Glasshouse Cafe situated within the Gardentime Garden Centre on the A3122 at Blackawton.
We had been on the road for more than 5 hours and were in need of a stop and refreshment when we stumbled on this gem.
Run by a Kiwi lass, Andrea, who does actually cook the food on site and which is both fresh and flavoursome. Try her fantastic sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, scones, cakes, muffins or even a cooked meal, especially her breakfasts.
She also does a mean double shot flat white. Best coffee I tasted in two weeks!
Staff were both pleasant and helpful. We did go back a number of times whilst in the area. Never disappointed us.
There is even a butcher on site and his meat was excellent as well. As were the jams and chutneys.
We have been told that the restaurant is now open on Thursday evenings as well. Reservations are recommended. Pity we did not have time to go back and enjoy. But the sample menu we have sighted is excellent and real value for money!
