Love this beach and visit it many times during our holidays in Cornwall.
Good access and parking with excellent beach shop and cafe.
Nice sheltered spots if you want to hide from the sun and very well guarded beach by the RNLI.
Our 3 year old isn't too fond of the waves yet but theres a smahing puddle/pond/lagoon that fills 2 feet deep.
Just as many families of children playing in this as there are in the sea.
Very tidy and well presented.

Thank Pete W

Happened across this beach which is small but nice with thankfully pretty good parking - @ £4 per day as the only option - whilst beating a retreat from the Padstow lunacy! With rock pools and a chance to escape the worst of the crowds, if you venture to the southern edge. Reasonably easy coast walking, giving some grand coastal views and 'the round hole' which probably is a blow hole when the tide is right!

Found this bay last year and went nearly every day to surf! A beautiful bay that's got all you need... Car park £4 for the day - reasonable though the young lads who direct where you park seem to just abandon where you park as getting out it a nightmare at times. A really fab shop where you can hire wetsuits surf/body boards, get drinks gifts newspaper plus a fab little cafe serving everything from lattes to Cornish pasties to paninis to cream tea. All at good prices. A lifeguard on duty too which is an added bonus! Excellent

Love this place and can't wait to return with the kids again. Apparently it gets very busy Julu and August but it was ok for us. Even when the suns not shining the kids loved the surf

This was the first beach we came across after coming out of Padstow on the road to St. Merryn.
It's about 2-3 miles from Padstow and is a lovely safe beach, ideal for families and couples alike.
It's a sandy cove with a natural large shallow pool for the children whilst the surfers can enjoy the waves down at the waters edge.

There is ample parking close to the beach in two car parks ( cost £4 per day when we visited in July). There are no long, steep steps to get down to the beach, just a small flight that would be easy for most people. On the top car park there are also excellent toilet facilities.

There is a surf shop where you can buy or hire by the day or week everything from wet suits & boards to kayaks & canoes. A shop, café & restaurant add to the amenities.

We have only been in the area for a week and have already visited this beach twice.

Another plus point is that it does not seem to get too crowded.

If you like walking there are some good walks to be had on the headland, accessible from the pathway at the back of the cove.
