“Worth a visit”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Padstow is a bustling village with a variety of quaint shops centered around a delighful harbour. It was a lovely hot day when we visited and so it was rather busy. We took a lovely walk around the shops and had a cuppa in one of the tea shops by the quay then walked along the coast path up to the monument. Lovely views across the beach.
A lot of Padstow seems to be over run with Rick Stein so if your a fan youll love it. We really wanted to try the fish and chip shop but it closed at 5pm!? Instead we got a beautiful fresh crab from Rick Steins Fish market...Definately reccommend.

Great place to watch the world go by. There is always something to see, however, parking can be a nightmare!

“What a great place”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

This is a very worthwhile visit and should be at or near to the top of your visit list. A traditional english harbour and plenty going on, especially in the summer. It is a very relaxing place and there are plenty of interesting shops to look round. The fish & chips by the harbour are a must and a great place to eat them. Just walking round the harbour is a very relaxing way to spend your time and the kids will enjoy it to.

“Cute”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Very Cute little fishing village set in a cove of the North Cornwall coast. It was wet the day I visited and still bustling with tourists on a cold April day so I bet it can be rather busy in summer. If you're going for the Rick Stein experience there's lots of options to try so don't stop at the first of his places you find,

“Pretty little harbour”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Padstow harbour is one of the more accessible harbours along the north Cornwall coast with car access right down to its own parking lot, more than can be said of nearby Post Isaac. I can imagine it would be gridlock at the height of the summer holidays but in the week after Easter there was a judicious mix of tourists and locals. Clearly a working fishing port, the comings and goings make for an impromptu spectator sport with a good view from the many benches lining the harbour side. Watch out for brazen seagulls if you're chomping on a pasty at the same time. Plenty of shops and cafes to lighten your wallet but the quality is generally high. Well worth visiting when the tide is both out and in as the river Camel estuary provides for very different views. The short foot ferry acorss the estuary to Rock is also worth the trip for a fisherman's-eye view of Padstow; can get choppy on windy days so mind where you sit or you'll get an extra shower.
