We have just returned from our holiday at "Undertowan" , Harlyn Bay, we didn't want to come home. The bungalow was perfect for the three of us and two dogs, plenty of space and a really nice enclosed garden to sit out in. The bedrooms were very comfortable, plenty of storage and very comfy beds.
The lounge area was also very comfy, plenty of seating and a dining table and chairs.
Well equipped kitchen too.
Loved it so much that we have booked to return next year for two weeks!!
Thank you very much for a lovely holiday x x x

Perfect accommodation and location for stunning Harlyn Bay but also many other beaches very close by, Harlyn was our favourite but we also loved Constantine Bay with it's wonderful sand dunes. The pictures and description are very accurate, the wifi is extremely easy to use with excellent reception (mobiles struggled at times: Virgin mobile intermittent coverage, Vodafone zero) and the garden is fully enclosed.
Both the Eden Project and The Hidden Gardens of Heligan are only a 45 minute drive away. By far the best place to eat locally is The Cornish Arms at St Merryn - fantastic food, reasonably priced and such a refreshing change to see dogs actually welcomed inside.
We are confused by some earlier reviews in particular the one referring to one bathroom being insufficient for 6 people - the listing is very clear and if the booking is for 6, that is your choice not a fault of the accommodation. There are basins/mirrors in 2 of the bedrooms so that the bathroom is not needed by everyone for washing hands/faces/teeth.
If you want state of the art granite worktops, monsoon showers, en suite facilities etc Undertowan is clearly not for you but if it were, you would be paying double to triple the current rates.
It is a cosy, well equipped bungalow in a terrific location for a very reasonable cost.

A great location for an out of season holiday! Great access to beach and all the coastal paths with all the stunning scenery in this area. Undertowan has everything you need including lots of hot water...essential for a bath after long days on the bikes and walking!
Great spot to spend a few days in Harlyn. Short walk to the beach, down traffic free path.
The house itself is small, but has everything you need. Classic 70s seaside bungalow, so a little rough around the edges, but better for it...much more character than some new build.
The garden is lovely, very private and with table, chairs, outside shower, washing line, games etc. Communications with owner were straight forward and entry/exit arrangements very easy.
Now if only you could guarantee some sunshine!!

We stayed at Undertowan last year and since then there have been improvements to the kitchen and bathroom. However for a family of six ie four adults and two children it struggles to provide the necessary facilities. Another bathroom is almost essential! The outside shower was inoperative during our stay as there was a leak- now fixed I understand. A dishwasher and outside clothes line / drier would help enormously. However, the location is wonderful.
Lovely location, fab garden, lovely house. Nice selection of games/books/DVDs to watch. Very cosy, felt like a home from home. Would stay again.
We went down to Undertowan over Easter 2015, and were not expecting for starters the gorgeous weather we had (always a bonus)
Undertowan is set in the most perfect location for the Beach, and the house itself is quirky, quaint, and a delight to stay in. The garden is just brilliant for a game of cricket, and if like us you have a dog its perfect for your furry friend too ,being totally enclosed.
The short walk down the lane and then down the path to the beach means that you pretty much dont need to put your dog on a lead to get down there and its one of the most stunning beaches we have been on.
We will DEFINATELY be booking again, although I think we need to get in quick as the dates are booking up already for 2016!!!
