“Fantastic B&B in a glorious location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2013

The other reviews say it all really - this is a fantastic B&B in a glorious location. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the breakfasts both tasty and generous. The beach below the accommodation has golden sand, the views out to sea and across to Daymer Bay and Polzeath are stunning, and you are more than likely to have the place to yourself after 6pm. When the sun is shining, I can't think of anyplace better to be! The walks across the cliffs over to Travone or Harlyn Bay are also breathtaking. For good food, you can obviously drive into Padstow, or alternatively, escape the crowds and head in the other direction to St Merryn, where I would recommend Waves for a high quality meal in a lively location for a reasonable price.

We had a really great weekend at Lellizzick, staying in Room 1 which was clean and spacious with a wonderful view down onto the beach and camel estuary.

On arrival we had a friendly warm greeting from the Housekeeper (Zana). Having taken a well loaded car (bikes, surfboards, etc), Danielle immediately offered that we could store them in one of the secure stone built garages, which was very helpful. Rup was also very welcoming and helpful.

Room 1 was very clean and spacious room with a king sized bed with great crisp cotton linen. The room was very well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a decent sized fridge with fresh milk, bottled water and ground coffee with plenty more room remaining to keep our wines and beers nicely chilled!.

Plenty of electric sockets for charging phones, laptops, etc - and Danielle was happy to confirm the wifi password, which given the rural location, had good speed broadband. There was also plenty of space in the room for a z-bed for our son. Excellent clean large bathroom with hairdryer, etc.

Tregirls beach/ Hawkers cove is just a short walk down through the farm field - and the South West Coast Path runs behind the beach. At low tide, Tregirls beach extends half-a-mile into the camel estuary and at its northeast point forms the infamous Doom Bar. The views across the bay are amazing. At low tide it's nice to walk around the beach to the old Padstow lifeboat station.

Lellizzick is really just a short drive or bike ride yo Padstow and the camel cycle trail.Lellizzick is also handy for the nearby surfing beaches at Constantine/Harlyn, etc.

In addition to all the usual restaurants/pubs in Padstow, the Cornish Arms at St Merryn is also just a short drive/ride from the B&B.

Breakfasts at Lellizzick cooked and served by the housekeeper were really good, served in a lovely farmhouse-style breakfast room and all made with local produce sourced from their own farm shop (www.padstowfarmshop.co.uk)

There is also a nicely sheltered walled garden where you can have a traditional Cornish cream teas and enjoy the fabulous views of the coastline and estuary.

On leaving, a slight mix up on the price with Zana was quickly sorted by Danielle. We had a really great weekend away at Lellizzick and hope to return again very soon. We would highly recommend the experience to others!

Lovely b& b down a long, country lane leading to a dead end. Very quiet, beautiful location over looking fields and the sea, and views of Rock/ Polzeath across the estuary. A five minute walk takes you down to a lovely sandy beach - Hawkers Cove- and you can walk from there into Padstow either along the beach if the tides are right or along the coastal path. It takes about 25- 35 minutes depending on how fast you walk. Well worth it to avoid having to park in Padstow, which can be challenging. We stayed in room 2, which had great views of the sea and was cosy and felt spacious. Good bathroom, fixed hair dryer, fluffy towels. King-sized bed with good quality bedlinen. It was very cold when we were there, but there was an efficient heater in the room and we felt warm and cosy. Really appreciated the good sized fridge in the room, where there was fresh milk and bottled water provided- and freshly ground coffee! Also equipped with a radio, tv and lots of electric sockets. The room was very light and airy and there were mirrors in sensible places ( not always the case everywhere!). Zhana, their very friendly housekeeper greeted us and her breakfasts were fantastic! Very characterful breakfast room with views, table beautifully presented. So well situated for immediate access to the coast for walking, easy to get to Padstow and for the ferry across the estuary to Rock and Polzeath and many other places easily accessible, including the Eden Project on the opposite coast. Welcoming and laid- back and highly recommended.

Room Tip: Only saw room 2 and would highly recommend- lovely sea view. Very light and airy, sunny aspect.

What can i say about this place? Well, my wife and i came for a weekend and, from the moment we arrived, were made to feel so welcome but without it being overbearing. The hosts, Danielle and Rupe, were so accommodating and knowledgable about the area. They couldn't have been friendlier. The quality of the room and the breakfast was very high. Put it this way, we had a fantastic nights sleep and we ate like kings in the morning. What more do you want?

Nothing was too much trouble. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a comfortable and memorable experience.

If you're thinking of visiting Padstow, and are looking for a place to stay, look no further. They only have 3 rooms so i'd book it now!

Room Tip: I couldn't choose which one i preferred. We checked out all the rooms and i loved them all.

The perfect B&B for cycling the Camel Trail, avoids the horrors of Padstow. Lovely rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast. Some confusion over the price was resolved amicably and left me feeling very positive about Lellizzick. Beautiful beach, cycled along coast path back into Padstow and then on up the Camel Trail to Bodmin and beyond. A perfect short break.

I think this is our 6th stay at this delightful B&B. What a find it has been since we spotted it on a walk in the area. The B&B is a lovely old farmhouse with light airy rooms.Beds are extremely comfortable and bedlinen/towels/bathrobes feel soft and luxurious.Breakfast is delicious and served on separate tables which I prefer. The hosts are very hospitable and make everyone feel very welcome. It is just like a home from home. We also like to take our tea and sit in an area for guests just outside the garden overlooking the beach.Just lovely. You can be as lazy or active as you like staying here.I think most come for the relaxation! It is in a simply stunning location overlooking the estuary and Hawkers Cove beach. The scenery changes with the tide and must be one of the best seaside views anywhere. You can walk around the headland or continue to Harlyn Bay.In the other direction you are at the sparsely populated beach and can contnue into Padstow-a longish walk but the scenery is fantastic and makes it a pleasure.Walk across the bay at low tide to get there quicker! If you're pushed for time take the car or the occasional taxi.I still prefer this to being in the bustle of Padstow any time.

Room Tip: Room 1 s biggest with a large bathroom with shower but you do overlook the tea garden so you can he...
