Made our reservation a year in advance to make sure we got the room of choice - and what a room the Turret is! A great view, decorated and furnished in period style, spacious, wonderfully clean and well maintained with loads of character... the list goes on. Breakfast can be served on the deck in good weather - or sharing experiences with other guests round the communal table in the dining room. Gary is a great host who personally welcomes you by name with a huge smile and a warm handshake. The house itself is as welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for Gary and his friendly team. Then there is the added bonus of on-site parking! We would certainly love to visit again and cannot praise our whole experience highly enough. Finally, a personal thanks to Gary - you are a great bloke and deserve continued success!

Room Tip: Book rooms with views of the estuary!

From the booking process to check out, this amazing B &B couldn't have been better. On arrival we were met by Gary who showed us to our lovely room, which was the Turret room. On entering the room, it was hard to decide what impressed me most visually, the beautiful room or the amazing view over the bay. The room was beautifully furnished with a small sitting area which maximised the view. There was also a working open fire which i am sure would have been beautiful in winter. There was a small balcony as well, but the weather prevented us from using it. The bathroom was excellent and was decorated in keeping with this lovely old house. A roll top bath and enormous rain shower, the one modern concession , took pride of place. Breakfast in the morning was a delight. The large table which seated all of the the guests proved to be a grat success and a lovely way to chat to fellow guests. The food was excellent. Fresh orange juice, cereal, fresh fruit salad plus all of the normal full breakfast items were available. The table was set immaculately, from proper china cups to individual butter dishes and dinky little dishes with home made preserves. Treverbyn is within easy walking distance of the harbour and just steps away from Rick Steins fish restaurant, where we had an outstanding lunch. If we are ever back in Padstow, I would have no hesitation whatsoever in staying at Treverbyn. Be sure to check in the cupboard which the tea tray sits on. Inside you will find a fridge, wine glasses etc. I missed it!!!!

Returned to the Treverbyn House after two years and the place has just got better. Exceptional host and amazing breakfast, cant give this B&B enough credit. Stayed at a number of the Padstow hotels and would recommend this over any of them. Wouldn’t think of booking anywhere else.

I'm not sure I can add anything further to the other reviews that have already been left for Treverbyn House, other than its all true!! We booked here because, for myself and my husband, it ticked all the boxes (lovely rooms, on-site parking and great location) - and it definitely ticked all of those boxes!!

Gary is the perfect host! We arrived slightly early and he was more than happy to show us to our room immediately (we stayed in the Lilac room, which, even though it doesn't have the estuary view, is a very lovely room). Gary then explained how to get to the harbour/town easily and that he was on-hand should we need anything further, which he was, recommending a variety of restaurants and places to visit etc.

The rooms have everything you could possibly want in the way of beverages - cold water in the fridge, a separate jug of cold water to fill the kettle, fruit teas, hot chocolate, tea, coffee etc (even a pint of semi-skimmed milk left in the fridge instead of the small UHT cartons you usually get everywhere else!).

The guest house is in the perfect location - a few minutes walk into the centre of Padstow - great views of the estuary from most of the rooms and the terrace (where we liked to sit in the afternoon partaking in an alcoholic beverage or two!).

You will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to be able to get a room here. This is probably the only place where, all packed and ready to go, I've actually stood in the room questioning whether we can stay an extra night!

This will definitely not be our only time we visit Treverbyn House - in fact, it may become a regular occurrence!

Room Tip: As what is said in the review, all rooms are lovely and in keeping with the Edwardian style of the H...

From the moment we arrived and the owner Gary offered to help with our bags to the moment we left we were enchanted with the whole Treverbyn House Experience. We stayed in the yellow room which is amazing with everything in keeping with the style of the house. The attention to detail is second to none- from the complimentary sherry to the sewing kit and shoe brushes, the cotton wool and the tea/coffee tray, the ironing board and iron etc. etc.
We loved the décor and the crockery and cutlery and the fact that Gary has kept everything as it should be for a house from the Edwardian era, it is a real boutique hotel experience.
As for the breakfast, that is yet another treat, we dined on the terrace - my wife opted for fresh kippers & bacon, I had the full English with toast, fresh orange juice and home made preserves, all washed down with a variety of teas, or coffee. Treverbyn House is just a very short walk from the town centre and restaurants for all pockets, although we did book for Rick Stein's St. Petroc's Bistro.

Our stay at Treverbyn House has been perfect! We stayed in the green room. The room was immaculate and the bathroom, especially, was fabulous. It had the most amazing shower and with lovely roll top bath too. It was finished to an extremely high standard. Breakfasts were great. We had our breakfasts in the dining room and shared a large table with other guests, it was a lovely atmosphere. I loved seeing the family pictures around the breakfast room which inspired me to display more of my own family pictures when I get back home. Both Gary an his brother Albi were brilliant hosts and I hope to stay here again in the future.

We stayed here in August for 3 nights during our honeymoon. We stayed in the Yellow Room which has an amazing view and was extremely comfortable, complete with complimentary sherry! Gary, our host, was fantastic and cooked a mean breakfast which was wonderful served on the terrace each morning. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return.
