If you're looking for a place to stay in Padstow, look no further. We were due to stay only three nights, but on meeting Gary the owner and stepping into our room, observing the views over the estuary, the giant bath and the breakfast-in-your-room menu (not to mention the complimentary sherry on the mantle) we immediately requested to stay another night.

We couldn't fault our stay (in the Yellow room, Turret room looked wonderful too), from the breakfasts (complete with home-made jam from the garden) and courteous and friendly staff, to the fantastic location and general character of the place.

You must visit. We're most definitely heading back as soon as possible.

Room Tip: If you choose an upstairs front room you'll have a view of the estuary. A little more expensive...

We stayed for 2 nights in the turret room, the view was incredible and the room and breakfast really lovely. The location is perfect and close to town center. I couldn't fault our stay at all and would love to go back soon!

Stayed 4 nights in the Pink room which even though it is perhaps the least desirable (being downstairs and at the back) is still a very good size and very nicely furnished, keeping in tune with the house's Victorian origins. Very clean and contains everything you need. Wonderful breakfast as well including lovely home made jams. Just a shame the weather was never good enough to enjoy the terrace - next time I hope.

The location is perfect, overlooking the Camel estuary and just 4 or 5 minutes walk from Padstow harbour. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Nice to have a view if the rooms are available but all rooms are excellent

Booked in here for my partners birthday recently and we absolutely loved it. The room (Turret Room) was very beautifully decorated with a fantastic antique bed, and everything was perfectly clean. The decanter of sherry was a lovely touch, perfect to have on the balcony overlooking the bay. Each day an amazing breakfast was served in our room, which made a very nice change.
Gary and the team were very friendly and helpful, making this one of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 3 nights in the turret room. Spotlessly clean room with fabulous views. Padstow town was a convenient walk from treverbyn house and the free car parking was a definite bonus. Breakfast was delicious - served in our room. Would definitely recommend.

I recently stayed in this b & b which has a great location in Padstow, the harbour is just a short walk away. We stayed in both the pink and yellow rooms. Both rooms are lovely with typical Edwardian high ceilings and fire places. There's a lovely fruit garden outside the pink room and its lovely to eat breakfast in your room watching the little birdies! The yellow room has stunning views of the Camel Estuary and as rooms go really can't be topped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in Padstow for four nights and would thoroughly love to come back to Treverbyn House.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the house have amazing views of the Camel Estuary but need to be booked we...

This stay was organised at fairly short notice, and we had a look at Padstow after finding nothing suitable in St Ives.

All the great reviews on Trip Advisor certainly gave us the confidence to book, even if because of the short notice (about a week or so) we were asked to pay in full for the one night by bank transfer - they don't do credit cards.

We arrived about 3pm just as Gary was back from a bit of shopping and he quickly showed us our room - the lilac room with garden view - asked if there was anything he could help with, such as advice on where to eat etc and then left us to it. My wife told me she had already discussed where to eat with the owners and in fact we were already booked into Rick Stein's Café, with a potential for No. 6.

The room was very clean and simply decorated, with minimum frills and a healthy selection of tea and coffee. One thought - it would be a nice idea to leave a small carton / jug of fresh milk in the fridge in the room, I find those UHT mini-carton things horrible. There was a bottle of (filtered?) water in the fridge already. My wife suggested I press the bell on the wall - labelled "please ring in emergency" - but despite my strong feelings on the matter I really couldn't describe the situation as an emergency so had a fresh black coffee and left my wife to contaminate her tea with the long shelf life nasty milk stuff.

After refreshing ourselves with hot beverages, and making our breakfast selection from the delicious looking and comprehensive menu, we ventured out into the rain to explore Padstow.

Rick Stein's confirmed after a thorough inspection through the window, and many other shops visited, including Rick's shop (!), we went back to our room and freshened up in the very pleasant ensuite shower room (I was glad it was "summer" - those electric shower things can be feeble in winter).

After dinner we had a reasonable nights sleep, at home we have a larger bed so going back to standard doubles can be a bit of a squeeze! Grey skies woke us up and we were all packed and ready to go just as breakfast arrived at the pre-arranged time of 09.00hrs to eat in our room. The breakfast was truly delicious - certainly better than anticipated (we are very picky on breakfasts) - and Gary's home made preserves finished it off superbly.

I then had another dilemma as to whether I should press the "ring in emergency" button because I wanted more toast, but then decided my greed wasn't really an emergency so I finished off Gary's preserves with my spoon.

A great place, very happy to recommend, and we'll be back if we can get a room with a King Size bed!
