“Another great stay...”
Reviewed July 4, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

We are regulars at Camel View and enjoyed yet another great stay. Some welcome fresh touches re improved broadband and a new garden table to further soak up the most incredible views and sunsets. It's now just a case of counting down the weeks until the next visit...

“Another fabulous stay”
Reviewed June 19, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Well, this is our third stay at this beautiful cottage. It is well appointed throughout, plenty of space, even when our two friends joined us over the weekend. The welcome pack of cream tea, bread, milk etc is so lovely and saves having to shop, especially as we arrived on a Sunday.
The communication with the owners David and Jane prior to arrival was friendly and helpful as always. We had a lovely chat with Jane during our stay, they really do make you feel welcome.
The cottage is not far from the A39 so visiting anywhere in Cornwall is easy. The Camel trail is also easily accessible (Jane can tell you the short cut to it), so a walk to Wadebridge or Padstow can be undertaken to sample the dining delights.
And now the biggy.......that view...! Wow! It is so beautiful, out over the Camel estuary, with Padsow to the left, the sun sets are amazing!
In all, a fabulous stay and we will definitely be going again. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

“View to die for”
Reviewed June 13, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

As reviewed the view is the major draw of this cottage, and it is spectacular. Unfortunately we had such terrible weather that you couldn't see it a lot if the time. The provisions that were left were great, although something homemade would have been better. We were comfortable and the cottage had all that you needed. We just felt it was a little tired in places and lacked the attention to detail for the money. For example: front door looked shabby and rotting, garden was untidy, welcome folder was hidden amongst the magazines and only found after a few days and not much information in it, tourist information was very outdated, no hand towels, no proper dressing tables in either of the bedrooms, that sort of thing. I guess these things would not matter to some people as they appear to have had constant booking for years, but this is just our view and opinion.

“Very good”
Reviewed August 1, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We found Camel View clean and spacious with everything we needed during our one-week stay. The views across the tidal estuary to Padstow and Rock from the large patio area at the back are fabulous.

The property is in a very remote location, down a narrow road off the A39, about a mile past the Quarryman pub. It's a beautifully peaceful setting though, with the town of Wadebridge and the excellent Camel Trail within easy reach.

I can't help but think the dilapidated cottage, clearly visible from the kitchen window at the front, lowers the tone a little.

It was a nice touch to have a few welcome items in the fridge on arrival. David and Jane were also available for any questions along the way too.

All in all, a very pleasant and comfortable stay.

“What a super find”
Reviewed July 23, 2016 for a stay in July 2016

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Camel View. It was all we wanted and more. Reclining in one of the armchairs in the lounge, with the door open, watching the sunset over Rock and Padstow - wonderful. Very well equipped. Very quiet. 'Welcome goodies' were a lovely touch.
Gas bbq. Large rotary line. Shed to store our bikes. Problems with the wifi but we had 3G/4G so didn't really matter.
