Lunch time on a Saturday and I thought it'd be busier than it was but still it was reasonably patronised. We took a seat in the window onto the street to watch the world to by whilst eating lunch.
The menu is basic but big enough. Having decided on sandwiches, jacket potatoes and chips between us all we placed our order with a helpful waitress.
Portion sizes are very good indeed for the money. The food is of decent quality and most enjoyable.
I thought it was a little bizarre they bring your bill chit to you before you've eaten... What if we ordered more, you end up with several prices of paper to take to the till at the end to pay?
For a no frills, no fuss lunch of decent quality and price, you can't go too far wrong here.
In the evenings you can bring your own wine or beer as they aren't licenced. That would help keep down costs for diners.
