“Wonderful!”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

We spent a wonderful weekend in The Romantic Yurt. This is a very well run and beautiful site, an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. I would defiantly return to and recommend Mill Valley Yurts. Lisa and Neil will go out of their way to ensure that you have the perfect stay and they have created something that is very special. It is clear that a lot of love has gone into making sure that the Yurts are perfect for guests. They are cosy and very well equipped with lots of pots, pans and cutlery and we had lots of fun cooking on the campfire! The Yurts are excellent value for money and offer a chance to relax away from ‘normal’ life.

We had a lovely weekend break with our dog, Boobie. It's the perfect place for a weekend away from it all. This was our second stay, and we were made to feel very welcome again.
Although the weather wasn't the best the yurt was stunning, warm, dry and cosy and the site has views to die for. I'd recommend Mill Valley to anyone who wants a weekend away from modern life. We can't wait until our next stay!

We stayed for a week in the Elm Tree Yurt and it was fab! The yurt was spacious and full of everything we needed, and the log burner was a total luxury to banish the chilly evenings, and to cook on. Yes we were blessed with lovely weather, but even on a rainy day there was plenty of room for us and four children. The location was great on the edge of a beautiful forest ripe for exploring, and within walking distance of the pub and a good fry up and a bus stop! We are so coming back next year! Thank you for making us so welcome x

My grandaughter and I stayed in one of the smaller yurts for a 4 day break at the end of May- it was fantastic! Lisa and Neil were that rare combination of sincerley and genuinely helpful but completely unobtrusive. We really had a wonderful time.

Not only was the location stunning with bluebells and wild garlic on the path to the river and still in nearly full bloom, but the weather was amazing as well- wind swept and breezy, brilliant sunshine and just enough rain to keep us cosy at night, as we listened to it fall on the canvas.

The site is managed with a great deal of care and skill and it is clear that a lot of love and attention to detail goes into everything that Lisa and Neil do. The wild flowers by the bedside were a lovely welcoming touch.

The yurt we stayed in was well equiped with essentials and was cosy warm and magical at night with the night lights lit and the fire glowing. If you want a real experience with real people then this is the place for you.

We really want to come back as soon as we can- keen to stay when its snowing!

We'd fancied staying in a yurt for some time and this was our first experience. We absolutely loved it and wouldn't have changed a thing. Lisa and Neil have created something very special in a stunning location.

Proper, back to basics, boys own camping. Cast aside any daft notion of 'glamping' and be prepared for eco, long drop loos and mucking in to get warm and washed.

We stayed in the Acorn yurt with our dog over the bank holiday weekend and admittedly were blessed with amazing weather. Although it was cool at night we soon got the stove kicking out heat and my husband loved the fact he had so many fires to light...our 'Mexican wave' of fire lighting started with the stove to heat the bath water, progressed onto the BBQ and fire pit and ended at dusk with the burner inside the yurt. (We notified the other peeps on site that the water heater was on and to leave it an hour before having a bath themselves.)

A couple of tips...we have good quality, warm sleeping bags with liners, which I can't recommend enough for camping. And take some wet wipes and gel handwash if you don't fancy the amble to the bath house (and running water) after a visit to the loo.

I won't recommend this to all of our friends as this yurt experience won't suit everyone, but there are certainly a few who we'll be sending this way. If you love the outdoors and proper camping with added extras such as firepit and stove and a real bed then this is for you.
