Wi-Fi free, isolated, with historical landmarks on the doorstep and a convenient Tescos a five minute drive away - SOLD!

This is a really lovely, perfect bolt-hole for anyone who, possibly like us, has had enough of all things City and decided to go somewhere they want to feel as nature-surrounded as possible. We watched and discussed the stars while on the sun-loungers the same day that we went for a swim in the sea at Seacliff View, just down the road. The castle of Tantallon was an unforeseen gem, literally a twenty minute walk away (visible from the front windows). North Berwick is quaint, with a couple of nice little cafes and some tourist shops. If you're feeling brave, as we were on our last day, the Berwick Tor / North Berwick Law, the huge volcanic plug that you can see off to the west, is a good climb that takes about half an hour on the steeper slope or around an hour the long way around, from what we could tell. Amazing views and some more history dotted about! Edinburgh is a 45 minute drive away if you simply MUST get a few moments of internet or for a day of cultured tourism. Stunning views from every perspective!

So much light floods the cabin itself through it's lovely big windows, and chickens peck in the back garden most afternoons. The walk-through wardrobe made me want to get one for our house, and it fulfilled all those cosy, basic comforts with it's well-furnished kitchen, charming bathroom and a bedroom I fell asleep in almost as soon as I hit the pillow every night. So quiet! Only the odd idiot motor-biker thankfully next to never breaks the peace! We loved our stay and shall more than likely be returning!

“perfect holiday let”
Reviewed June 8, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We stayed at The Cabin over Easter weekend and loved every minute. We had such a lovely welcome from Ester and her Mum and Dad were very friendly too and very knowledgeable about the area. The Cabin was very clean, comfortable and included every thing you could need for a stay there. The views are amazing, in all everything suited us perfectly and i would thoroughly recommend The Cabin as it is the best self catering holiday we have had.

“Escape from it all at The Cabin”
Reviewed March 21, 2014

We found our little hideaway. What a fantastic place to stay. The Cabin, even in December, was warm and cozy. This is self catering accommodation and has everything you need, well thought out. The information provided on local walks, places to visit etc was plentiful. The location is perfect, very quiet, surrounded by countryside with fantastic views of Bass Rock and Tantallon Castle. North Berwick is only a 5 - 10 minute drive away and the beach is about a 20 minute walk. Well done Esther. Hopefully see you soon.

“Perfect little place for us - peaceful location, excellent, pet friendly.”

We have stopped at the cabin now on several occasions and find it to be the ideal place for us to stay. The location is close to North Berwick but in a quiet secluded countryside setting.
The cabin itself is very well equipped, has everything we need, and also caters for pets - so our 2 little dogs also enjoy it, with its own garden areas.
A short walk to Tantallon castle, Taxi service close by, The excellent Seacliffe beach only a mile or so away.
David, Frances and Esther always give us a warm welcome and are always at hand should we need something.
Very peaceful place, views of Bass Rock and Tantallon Castle from the cabin. Will be back again very soon.

“The Cabin Tantallon Studios”
Reviewed August 31, 2013

Left the cabin this morning after a glorious week in a superb location and lovely weather.
My hobby is wild life photography and landscapes and this venue fulfilled both, the deer in the cornfields, the many birds and especially the Peregrine falcon, East Lothian's logo. The cabin was surrounded by golden fields awaiting harvest and magnificent views in ever changing light to the Bass and the magnificent Tantallon castle. Quiet and so peaceful, but not too far from the lovely seaside town of North Berwick and all the facilities you could imagine.
