Well appointed accommodation with everything you'd need. Milk, wine & biscuits on arrival were a nice touch too. The quality double bed was great for my husband who is a back sufferer. The wifi & netflix were equally good for evening entertainment. We loved walking the coastal walks around North Berwick, Dunbar & Musselburgh. We even climbed the 132 dark narrow steps to the top of Hopetoun Monument.
I spent the weekend in this lovely cottage with my daughter & dog.
It was clean, cosy & had everything you would want.
The owner was very friendly & helpful which was very much appreciated.
Absolutely no negatives & look forward to returning again this year.
A definitive 5 stars from me!
Callies Cottage has everything you could need and some for a rented holiday house. The wine, coffee, milk and biscuits were very much appreciated too after a long journey. The only thing that was disappointing was that there were too few coat hangers and that some were of wire, not expected in such a beautiful house. I know it's trivial and that's why I kept the 5* rating and that definitely wouldn't stop us returning.
This was our first stay in North Berwick and we loved it, there is a great coastline which offered a good choice for photography from wildlife to scenery to ruined castles.
North Berwick too is a haven for dog lovers, there are plenty of eateries to chose from that are dog friendly, we favoured The Ship Inn on Quality Street as it was very popular with other dog lovers also The Scottish Seabird Centre cafe, well worth a visit.
Callies Cottage is within walking distance of neatly all the local amenities, all in all a great place to be.
Very comfortable cottage conveniently located near the station Only 5 minutes walk to the beach. I would certainly book it again
We stayed five days over Christmas and it was great. Cottage comfortable and very well equipped - no problem cooking dinner!
