Read very good reviews about the hotel so thought we would spent a night there. That was despite being warned off by a friend who had eaten in the restaurant a few weeks before and had a bad experience (poor service, poor quality food).
The 'classic' room we stayed in was small and on reflection not good value for money (£170/night). Noise from the kitchen below continued until service had finished and started again pre breakfast. Background hum and low grade vibration from extractor fan continued all night-staff told us other guests had previously complained about this and in fact the noise was worse in other rooms!
Some staff polite, others pretty rude to be honest.
