Wonderful stay at The Globe, Wells-next-the-Sea. We stayed 4 nights, really comfortable king room. Food was excellent, both the lovely breakfast and a couple of dinners. Also great selection of drinks. Best of all was the staff - nothing was too much trouble, all really friendly, and they have made sure we'll be coming back!!

Oh dear. After a few perfect days in North Norfolk, this left a bad taste. My partner's birthday and our fault to book late. 2 perfect, magic days at the Whitehouse in Burnham Market, The Globe was a sad and bad let down. Room fine but stupidly expensive and smelling fusty/damp. Functional large room but tiny bed and no great shakes in bedding or towels. Dinner mixed - good venison, awful/over-cooked hake ruined. Staff mostly surly and disinterested.

Pleasant sleep, last breakfast (fine) orders at 10am, then the coup de grace. Check-out by 10:30am. A grudging extension to 11am, £30 extra until midday. And as the unhelpful receptionist pointed out rightly, it's in the Ts & Cs. I cannot recall, in any hotel in country such an early check out - even in North Korea 11am was the norm.

We don't mind paying a fair price for fair value. This was neither. Avoid.

We just dropped in on a busy Saturday lunchtime for a couple of refreshing San Miguel beers(our favourite beer)and decided to stay for a snack as well.
The staff were friendly and respectful and it is so dog friendly that we are going to return for our wedding anniversary night for D, B& B with her

I visited this small and perfectly formed hotel in December 2018 with my company. We booked out the whole hotel for an overnight stay as part of our Christmas getaway.
Upon arrival, you would think that you are just entering into a traditional English pub - friendly faces with cosy sitting areas.
However, upon checking-in, you are treated to the most updated, modern, clean and truly beautiful rooms. All rooms are ensuite. I had an attic room with a sofa bed and a mini-kitchenette, the bathroom was large with a full tub and separate shower, all newly decorated. It was massive and could easily fit a family with small children.
We had our CEO in one of the large rooms (it was 2 storey with a separate bed and bathroom upstairs). After returning from our meal in one of the local restaurants (sorry, cannot remember the name of the restaurant but it was ok, nothing special), we all piled into our CEO's room and as we were the only people in the whole hotel, we enjoyed being able to play music and have some drinks and had a mini party of our own.
We left the following morning after a great breakfast and we all said in the coach on route back to London how great the hotel was and we would all recommend it.
The service and welcome from the management team and staff were truly brilliant and I honestly cannot fault this hotel.
I would definitely like to return but this time during the spring or summer when I could do more walks and enjoy being out by the sea.

Had an absolutely fantastic meal when we visited Wells last week. The chicken was absolutely gorgeous, the crab pasta was to die for and the dessert was Devine! Staff were brilliant too, very attentive. We will definitely be back.
