“Brilliant beach, endless sand, sea and sky ...”

Wells Next The Sea Beach

Owner description: At low water, Wells beach has huge open views and mile upon mile of sands and shallow channels to enjoy. When the tide comes in, the beach is transformed into a harbour, with the entrance channel suddenly busy with visiting yachts, fishing boats setting out for the day or returning with their catch, local small boats going out to fish as well as clouds of small sailing boats racing or cruising within the harbour. The golden sands are backed by colourful beach huts which have been the subject of many a painting and postcard. The popular Beach Cafe nearby is perfect for refreshments during your visit.

“Brilliant beach, endless sand, sea and sky ...”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Beautiful beach with endless sands, dunes and pine wood backdrop. Lots of beautiful beach houses (which you can hire as well). The beach can either be reached by car to the big car parakeets behind the beach or by mini-train from the town. Both recommended. Good cafe with nice cakes and wifi by the car park. Make a day of it and relive your childhood holidays.

“What A Real Beach Should Be”
Reviewed April 8, 2014

Spectacular. Endless sands, dunes backed by pinewoods, and a line of picturesque beach huts. It really doesn't get much better than this, and there's always plenty of room for watersports and kite flying. Pack your beach bag at the first sign of warm weather and make yourself happy.
Nice cafe too, near the main car park - and a pleasant (but busy) pinewoods walk behind the line of dunes.

“Norfolks little gem”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

We spent our honeymoon in Norfolk and had many a day in this lovely seaside town the beach is away from the town but a very pleasant walk but well worth it as the beach is vast especialy when the tide is out but be warned it comes in quite quick! .we were there when a boat pageant was happening a great day.
You can either walk, drive or even take the miniature railway down to the beach, there is a café and car park at the end before you get to the beach which is very big and has a large sand dune in the middle which when the tide comes in you have to watch the tide as it comes around it and may trap you but don't be worried there are warnings to tell you about it.
We love going to Wells as it brings back wonderful memories of our time there well worth a visit even just for the day

“Beach huts galore”
Reviewed April 2, 2014

Wells next to the sea beach is well hidden. We drove to it!. It is a beautiful sandy beach, suitable for all ages. There is a great row of beach huts at the edge of the beach. We loved it because it was quiet, but I would expect it to be very popular in the summer.

“A nice visit”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

We stayed in room 11 in March this year. The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. We had a lovely day in Wells next the sea and a fantastic walk on the beach. The shared bar area was very noisy in the evening and that was the only down side. Will definitely go back.
