Very laid back and relaxing, all home made cakes and scones.

Well done ladies

Can get busy at times but that is why it is so popular

On the windiest day of 2013 bean to coast was open and serving a lovely cup of coffee and I have to say the best chocolate caramel shortbread the right balance between the 3 most times you get too much shortbread but not here it's perfect.

Very nice food, garnish was good, staff friendly just the loo was old, dusty, dirty and had loads of cleaning bottle behind the toilet with lots of muck on :| that was the only negative point for me.

Bean 2 the Coast is a nice little cafe/restaurant on the quaint historic street which leads up from the harbour to the town. There is a good area of outdoor seating with metal tables and chairs, though no shade from the sun. Indoors there is plenty of seating and a toilet.
We opted for the freshly made scones and tried both cheese and fruit with cream and jam. These were very good indeed as was the very adequate pot of tea, with a top up without question. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and polite. The prices for baguettes and sandwiches are all very reasonable and under a fiver, and fresh as the notice tells you - when the food is gone it is gone until the next day.
If you are shopping in this quaint little street and want a break away from the seafront, then it is well worth a visit for a tasty snack, a good cuppa or a coffee.
The only thing which is a downside is the notice on the window saying buggies are not allowed, so if you have little ones with you this cafe may not be for you

We always try to visit this cafe when we're in Wells and were there last week.

The twin owners are unfailingly efficient and friendly and we've tried most of the coffees, which are excellent. The snacks and cakes look good but we invariably go for the scones (cheese or fruit) which are large and always fresh. Butter, jam, etc are served in individual pots and not plastic packets.

There's a nice atmosphere with the clientele appearing to be a good mix of locals and holidaymakers. The only downside is that the tables are rather squashed together but there's seating outside as well. No sea view but ideal for people watching.
