Description: In an idyllic location backed by mature pine woods and a stone`s throw from the beach with its famed array of beach huts, the Beach Cafe is a fun, vibrant place to eat, drink and shop. We've got a new look for 2017 and plenty for you and your four-legged friend to enjoy. You'll find us just outside of Wells town about half a mile from the quay not far from Pinewoods Holiday Park.

This cafe has been recently modernised and it has been done tastefully. It also serves as a gift shop and not overpriced at all; certainlywhen compared with others in the town and surrounding villages. Wholesome, good value food is on offer, as well as excellent coffee, served by friendly, competent staff. My wife and I were both impressed by the range of variable height water bowls for dogs placed on the outside deck. This free facility proved most useful to the dog walking community and the water was changed regularly.

Well done to Holkam hall estates for providing the facility and not ripping off the public.

Popped in here on route to the beach as it was raining, we were pleasantly surprised upon stepping in. It reminded us of an Australian beach bar, the staff were very friendly and there was plenty of seating. This place is a gift shop / cafe / diner, very cleverly done!!

Perfectly situated for refreshments after a walk along the beach, we were pleased to find the cafe was very welcoming to dogs (allowed inside and 10 water bowls arranged outside too) and decked out nicely inside.

Can't really comment on food as we only had drinks and a cream tea (not the best I've had but certainly not the worst and at a standard price). Yes the drink was in a paper cup, which wouldn't be my choice but it's not the end of the world, and the hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows was good and you could even include it (or any drink) as your drink with the cream tea, not just a cheap cup of tea.

Thank you very much for your review on Trip Advisor. This area is very popular with dog walkers and our K9 Club is proving a great hit with our customers as you found out. Please do come back to visit us again soon. The wood-burning stove will soon be roaring and ideal to get warm after your walk!

The cafe has been substantially refurbished by the Holkham Estate and is now a very pleasant place to have coffee and a cake or lunch. The cafe now seems to be very much part of the community with a sofa and wood burning stove. There are papers and games for customers to use.

The place doesn't serve just food but also sells dog biscuits and pictures. My one niggle is even for cappuccino's inside they use cardboard cups, plus no offer to help carry the drink when i thought I am sure this is to save washing up, but there is a cafe nearer the harbour railway, which may do these in proper cups (intended for the park residents) but if you arrive by harbour railway there's no sign or mention that they exist, although they do allow dogs inside the only toilets being outside within the car park, isn't very helpful if it's raining and with the size of building and that they'd have plumbing on site for the cafe why toilets can't be provided within the same building when it would benefit disabled and people with mobility issues is one I don't have an answer to plus a general lack it feels like of disability awareness training needs working on.

Thank you for posting your review of the Beach Cafe on Trip Advisor. Your points raised are indeed valid ones. We are sorry that you were disappointed to get your coffee in a paper cup. The reason for using these is due to the very high volume of customers we have in high season making it impractical to use crockery, it also allows us flexibility with our takeaway service.
The toilets are something the we would like to address, but this will not be for the foreseable future.
