“5 star luxury in a quaint seaside village”

Just back from a very relaxing holiday and our decision to spend 6 nights in the red room was truly a good idea. The room is a comfortable size with plenty storage space and a big ensuite bath/shower room with a power shower that is all one can ask for at the end of long days out to see the surrounding beautiful countryside and beaches of Norfolk. Alan and Mary are great hosts and very attentive to see that one has all that's necessary to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is superb and varied.....still thinking about my kipper :) Thanks Alan and Mary. Highly recommended.

From the moment you walk down the steps, under the branches of the old apple tree, you know that this is somewhere special. From the pretty quiet garden into the lovely house meeting Alan and Mary....is it possible that it could get any better? The rooms are thoughtfully furnished and decorated, with amazing attention to detail, and give an immediate sense of warmth and welcome. Breakfast, served in front of a wood fire was delicious with plenty of choice and thoughtful service from Alan. We look forward to staying again soon and would highly recommend this B & B.

Room Tip: Both bedrooms are beautiful, quiet, welcoming.

We stayed here on a cold and wet May weekend to attend a friend's 50th birthday party. I would echo what others have said about the quality and attention to detail; remarkable at these rates. The owners are friendly and charming. The best bit is however eating a superb breakfast in a lovely Georgian drawing room in front of a roaring log fire.

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms - red and gold. We were in the gold room. Large bathroom with a large shower...

Just returned from our second stay with Mary and Alan and we shall be returning again. Wonderful relaxing stay. The breakfast is hearty and filling with plenty of choice and options and is served in a very relaxed atmosphere which sets you up for the day. The room is first class with lots of little touches which make the stay enjoyable. The house is an oasis of calm set within its own walled garden in a quiet lane just off the main harbour front. Shops and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Couldn't ask for more. First class.

We have just had a wonderfully relaxing break at St Michaels House. We stayed in the red room which was beautiful, with our every need catered for. The breakfast was excellent with lovely personal touches such as Alan's secret fried bread. Mary and Alan were perfect hosts with Alan's local knowledge and recommendations enhancing our break. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful house.

We have just spent 3 nights at St Michael's House and it is one of the best B & B's we have ever stayed at..
Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and the attention to detail was first class.
We would highly recommend this lovely Georgian house for a relaxing stay and a good base to explore the surrounding area.
We stayed in the red room which was very comfortable and the breakfast's were just great.
