Booked in by the office for overnight stay prior to early meeting in KL. Was a bit concerned when I got to reception as the ground floor is rather dated and dark. Having said that the lady on reception was helpful and efficient. My room was very small, but well kitted out and modernised, in contrast to the ground floor decor. Nice bathroom with all the necessary bits and pieces.
Good nights sleep as it is very quiet and the bed was good too.
We were encouraged to stay at the hotel for dinner but chose to wander into town to eat (see review of the Bengal Brasserie)...pleased that we did as sitting in the dining room the next morning was a bit depressing. The dining room was not welcoming, dark (again), unattractive furniture. Breakfast was ok but only offered 1 cup of coffee as the waitress disappeared. Given the choice I would stay at the Knights Hill, however the hotel was ok.

Room Tip: rooms over looking the garden were very quiet.

Loved this hotel. Service was great (bar, chamber maids, and reception staff), room was lovely (tastefully decorated with a sunken ensuite), beds very comfortable (duvets AND flat sheets), location was quiet (no street noise or other guests disturbing our sleep), dinner was hot and flavourful, and reasonably priced, breakfast (and included with our booking) was a good variety of a choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit, and the full English breakfast. We've done a lot of travelling and this hotel most certainly scored a ten in our log of journeys! My only criticism is that the shower lacked a shower caddy or shelf to place your shampoo, soap, etc. If you're looking for a quaint and classy alternative to the main stream hotel chains this is a perfect option.

Room Tip: All suites have been tastefully redone. #10 is rather small but looks onto a private courtyard. There is also an adorable singles room that would be nice for a single person's get away. Ask for suite 7 or the bridal suite. Wow!

I agree with all the comments about the service - excellent. All the staff were friendly and proactive. My double room was small but clean and well kitted.

Although the breakfast was great my only complaint relates to the meal I had in the evening, or the price of it. The Stuart Hotel is radically overpriced for what it is offering. London prices for average pub food was a real let down. They either need to up their culinary game or slash their prices.

I recommend staying there but suggest finding somewhere else to have a dinner

On arrival, we were upgraded free to a room with four poster bed, and jacuzzi bath. The staff were excellent, really friendly. We ate at the hotel on Saturday night, there was a private party in the dining room, but we were served in the bar, the food was top class, well presented, and really tasty, and good value for money. Only managed breakfast on one morning. (due to F1 on telly), But was good, full English and lots of coffee, Perfect. All in all if you want somewhere to stay in this area, you will not go wrong here. A hearty thanks to all involved in our weekend, you all are a credit to the hotel.

Just got back from a 3 night stay at Stuart House in King Lynn, we stayed in room 6 which was a superior double, it was a lovely room. Food was very good, had such a good choice in the evening we stayed in every night. The staff were all very friendly, would recommend to anyone.
