“Almost excellent !”
Reviewed November 30, 2011

Excellent and very friendly staff. We were part of a coach group so used the 'ordinary' restaurant (not the pricey Turners (!) which was fine. Buffet service 2 or our 3 nights with a carvery on the Sunday. Hot food choice quite reasonable except for just 2 choices of dessert, not varied. Reason for rating of rooms is that although of a high (refurbished) standard, we do not care for open drawer spaces and open wardrobes.Modern design I suppose. Very over-warm first night but managed to control heating after consultation with reception !

Thank you for your feedback which is most important to us. I am glad you liked the refurb which does bring an iconic building back to life. We are happy that our customers feel we have done the right thing. My apologies for your dessert choice but if you wanted more it would have been available. Our new heating system gets a little getting used to with new technology but I have taken onboard your comments. Happy Xmas to you and hope to see you at the hotel again.
