Used as stop over to go to Suffolk. Hunstantin 10 mins away - had dish n chips ar rhe beach - yum Annex rooms - very spacious and modern. 3 bedded room.beds more comfortable than normal. High speed FREE wi fi. Pool and steam room great. Just what u need after 2 hour drive. Like that you don't pay until departure. Hotel has to do their bit, can't just shrug shoulders cos they"ve already got your money. Definitely stay again.

Check in was swift and efficient.

Upgraded room got us off to an good start!

Large clean bedroom (so it's a feature room) with large (ballroom size) bathroom. comfortable four poster bed. The room had a fan heater? and a cooling fan? We needed either but they were provided - one wonders why?

Breakfast all buffet except tea/coffee - average for English hotels I surpose - but fine - tables cleared effeciently and staff on hand to help.

Certainly would recommend.

Room Tip: 102 feature room

Stayed one night in Standard Room. It was so hot that sleep was nigh on impossible. There is no air-con and the provided fan merely circulated the hot air so I would suggest you only go if it is cold weather.
Reception staff and waiters at breakfast were very helpful, but service in the adjoining pub was very poor, but food was reasonably priced.
Given the lovely grounds and other facilities it could have been fantastic and we might well have then stayed an additional night or two but all in all we were very disappointed and would not go to this hotel again.

We stayed for four days over an extended Bank Holiday weekend. The hotel seemed very full, if not fully booked, but all the staff made great effort to ensure everything worked perfectly. The modern buildings of the hotel surround an ancient walled garden on three sides creating an interesting complex of old and new. The grounds seem extensive creating an effective space between the main roads and the roundabout that the hotel adjoins so that there is a pleasant outlook in all directions and there is minimal disturbance from traffic noise. The bedroom was spacious, well lit and well equipped even furnished with 4 easy chairs and a writing desk; it lacked nothing that we could hope for. Doors opened on to a small patio with 2 chairs and a table with a lovely view of the garden beyond. There was an excellent choice of food for breakfast. An evening meal at the ‘Farmers’ Arms’ was also very good and quickly served. We would certainly stay again, particularly as there are so many good walks and other things to do in north Norfolk.

Room Tip: G 48-51 are furthest from reception. Few other guests need to pass by to reach their rooms

I stayed for 1 night whilst on business. I had an executive room with balcony that looked over the gardens. The room was huge and was very well equipped with free wifi. The only complaints I have are that the room was very hot and there isn't air-con or fans to cool the room down. Ordinarily, had I been with my partner I would have kept the door open but as i was on my own i didnt take the risk! The other thing was that the bed was very spongy and soft and I woke up with back ache, but a nice swim in the pool and a sauna the next morning sorted that out! Breakfast was lovely and staff were very friendly and helpful. I'll stay there again when I'm next in the area.

Stayed at knights hill for the weekend. Everything I have to say is positive- just have one negative which I will get out of the way- can someone please clean that fountain in the courtyard. It's filthy. I heatd 3 other couples say the same thing. I would say also that the room needs some freshening up, a little updating. But our bathroom had a wonderful power shower. That's a keeper. Breakfast was great. Staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. Gardens are lovely. Pub is good too, but could do with more imaginative vegetarian dishes. Overall I would recommend. It's a little out of town, so you do need to drive if you want to go anywhere. The swimming pool is a must visit too.

The service and meals in this hotel were generally very good. The staff were cheerful, helpful and pleasant. We upgraded to a superior room which was large and well equipped. However, the bed was very soft and spongey! Also, as is often the case in hotels, the pillows were fibre filled and not feather which we found hot and uncomfortable. There was no air conditioning but we used the fan that was supplied to try to cool the room as it was very hot. The pool, jacuzzi, etc. were an added benefit to our stay. Altogether, good value for money.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far from the road as possible.
