“A pleasant visit”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

Stopped on the way home, only wanted a snack, and was well catered for, plenty of choice, which suited us. There was a nice warm atmosphere and staff were eager to serve. It was nice to find that food was served all day. Will be back to try the full menu with the option of blackboard specials

“Really not impressed.”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

I was taken here for a birthday lunch. What a let down. We ordered & paid for drinks and went and sat down. As the specials menu boards weren't finished we waited before ordering food. When we ordered our meals we were told that there would be a charge for paying by debit card as the cost was under £20. We paid (cash) and returned to the garden. There we were faced with a recently dead partially eaten pigeon smothered in flies. The food was just processed nothingness. It has the potential to be such a good place but, at the moment, it sadly fails !.

“Give it a miss.”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

long wait , one hour for four simple meals. chicken, steak sizzler ect........The steak was terrible as with all the meals.

maybe it takes an hour to de-frost the food as it is not home cooked.

This place has been updated and smart and will get away with it with passing trade........A47.

Third visit in order to give a fair go but expensive frozen food.

if you want real food , visit the mill Necton and Bernie at Fincham.............great food.

“Good food but long wait”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Good food and good portions although it would appear that a large portion of salad on a hot plate was obligatory but not needed. There's nothing worse than hoy, limp lettuce. Like other reviewers we experienced a long wait for the food even though the pub was almost empty.

“Please train the staff !”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

This is a beautifully presented and very clean pub, in fact one of the best you could ever find.
Why oh why does food take so long to be prepared, and why do they insist on low bills to charge for debit card use. Food once it arrives is excellent, but if these long waits persist, then this pub is going to go the way that many have before it, which would be a real shame. Much money has been spent here, and everything is right, apart from the basics ! OK, so it is not the cheapest of eateries, but standards are just superb, Train the staff, they are nice but very inefficient !!
