“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2013 via mobile

A lovely tearoom. We visited this afternoon and sat outside in the small courtyard out the back, under the grape vines. The service was excellent and friendly. Their teas selection is good and we had Ceylon Orange Pekoe tea served in china cups. They had a good selection of interesting freshly made sandwiches - we tried a Brie,Bacon and Grape, which came on china plates, with a small salad included. We will definitely return!

“Lovely teashop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2013

We chanced upon Florence Cafe and had a great time. We ordered a pot of Royal Jubilee tea and two slices of cake.

The tea, locally blended in Norwich, was lovely and the cakes were delicious and home-made. The ladies who own the place were friendly and accommodating and they even gave us a little sample of another tea because they had brewed a pot for themselves.

The place is small, but welcoming and you can really relax there. The tea and cakes cost us a very pocket friendly £8.60. If that isn't value for money, I don't know what is.

“Consistently good HOME-MADE food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 16, 2013

Florence Cafe is hidden in one of the streets away from the centre but still well within walking distance. It is almost always busy, but has room upstairs if the 2 (split) ground floor areas are full. They also have a little garden area out of the back door for seating when the warmer weather is with us.
The staff are lovely and helpful.
The portion sizes are generous.
The prices are reasonable - Remember this is home-cooked food not microwave/heat up, mass bought food from a chain.
They have a main menu with regular items, but also do specials.
They have a MASSIVE tea selection.
The cakes are gorgeous.
This is one of the cafes I recommend time and time again to people visiting king's lynn.

“Quaint little tea room”

Very good home cooked meals with an extensive choice of teas. Don't be put off by the quaintness, it's all part of the unique charm.

“Very friendly and great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

My wife and I called in for afternoon tea having read some positive reviews on Tripadvisor. We were really impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff. Having ordered a sandwich to share we were amazed that this was served on two separate plates, each with its own garnish of salad, coleslaw and crisps. The homemade cakes were lovely, and change throughout the day. We had Guinness & Chocolate and Orange & Poppy Seed. When we ordered tea, we were really impressed to be given a choice of bags or leaf, and even moreso when the choice of leaf tea stretched to over a dozen varieties. We each ordered a different tea and were delighted that each was served in a large pot, sufficient for 3 top-ups. Great experience. Will call again.
